Do I have ethical thoughts about buying a rep watch?
Nope.
Nope.
Imagine wanting to buy something and then being told you have to wait years, it's completely bizarre how they've done that to the market.
Yes, a waiting list for luxury goods that take time to manufacture is understandable, and I can live with it. I was happy to wait several months for a 911. In fact we recently waited even longer for a Citroen.Happens with a lot of luxury good now. Cars, etc
You have to develop a relationship (at least here in CONUS) in order to purchase those types of cars at MSRP.Yes, a waiting list for luxury goods that take time to manufacture is understandable, and I can live with it. However, Rolex don't operate that way. Under their "rules", the customer is forced to endure the nonsensical concept of developing a "relationship" with the AD, in order to have the chance (not the guarantee - just the chance) that they'll be favoured with being allowed to buy one of the desirable models that they actually want. The "relationship" basically consists of buying additional goods from the AD in order to build up brownie points towards the chance of being considered for what they actually want.
It's a racket, and it's contemptable.
Couldn't have said it better. 100 %The whole concept of "the need to build a relationship with your AD" to be able to buy a watch is so ridiculous, pathetic, silly and laughable on its own that any jokes about it are pointless because no punchline could possibly be funnier than the very concept by itself.

Whether you like them or not, Rolex has created an insatiable demand for their product. We may not like their tactics, but it's capitalism 101. They laugh all the way to the bank.
So are churchesRolex is a nonprofit organization.....
Don't get me started with churches. Believers are forced to endure the nonsensical concept of developing a "relationship" with the god, in order to have the chance (not the guarantee - just the chance) that they'll be favoured with being allowed in paradise. So are churches![]()
Got it, priest jokes are a step too far.Exactly like the Rolex AD.
Superbly put. I think you're missing the point.Yeah I’m confused, why was my post deleted then? Your witty sarcasm is too much for me to comprehend, you are pro-Catholic? Anti-catholic? Just anti jokes about Catholic priests? Explain to me clearly and slowly, I’m a little slow.
