I stand by my argument that the REP looks good.

I probably own 100 watches, GEN & REP, and the APS is an extremely well made piece. The finish and execution is superb. At 500 this is a steal. I disagree that this looks like a REP.

Yes they are very nice watches but the dial is disappointing and the biggest giveaway on the wrist. I've had a JF Royal Oak Diver, APSF Ceramic Royal Oak and R8 Royal Oak Tourbillon. They all had beautiful dials with a prominent sunburst. The ZF 15500 had a disappointing dial but apparently they've improved it, I've just ordered a replacement dial, let's see how it is.

I love the discussion...had the same thoughts....once I talked to legend I soon knew what he meant and I UNDERSTOOD to appreciate the rep effort and how good it actually is.

Of course it will never be like a gen.....but go ahead and buy a gen dial for 8k....I mean...you buy the reps for a reason.....and if the one you are wearing makes you happy...so it be.

Can’t really compare a vintage to a modern Royal oak dial, too many details are different.
But you’re right about your last statement. It’s a lovely $500 watch. I’m sure nowhere else can anyone get the same quality by paying this amount.

I am really done waiting ZF 4302 model, and I don't think they gonna be much better than APS.
I am planning to get APS 15500 4302 and do 2 upgrade: better dial and change the rotor to rose gold color.

it cannot be easily done. People are working.
4308 has 50 balls in the bearing and 4302 has only 7.
Dial you will need to wait a bit.
Besides, after successfully installing these two above you will need to find a modder to reshape the bracelet. and then you have a 15510.

I see, thanks a lot for the insight.
I am not very familiar, I just checked AP website, seems 15510 use 4302 movement also?
Currently gen 15510 is using white green blue dial, is it possible to swap a 15500 white or blue dial?
About the bracelet is there different to 15500? Please let me know.
