The best thing about more and more factories releasing the Daytona is that this movement is now widespread and available to many factories rather than just Noob having the exclusive rights to it.

Excellent news for the rep market and hopefully more competition means lower prices and better quality/more accurate reps.

Hmm. The uncharitable conclusion to be drawn from a complaint like this is that the person complaining is annoyed because they won’t be able to pass off their rep parts as gen. Why else would anyone complain about markings that will never be seen?

But hey, I’m not cynical or uncharitable - so let’s assume this complaint is because of all those really picky people we all come across, who won’t believe we’re wearing a gen Rolex unless we disassemble it in front of them and show them all the hidden logos.

Its not about passing as gen to sell or anything. Just people here want super rep. And i just think the marking is part of the super . Noob and other factory use rolex marking just not clean.

I agree. And I'm hoping the chrono second hand skipping problem I've read about is resolved as well.

The movement is right now available to everybody. You can buy ebauches of it and do whatever you want. One directly bought from the factory is around 800-1000$. It would be nice to see how a non engraved dangdong 4130 (but one that went through all the quality checks of the factory) performs against one that was inserted in a rep. Or in other words, do the rep companies get the shitty outliners?

I agree Pops - I've often said I'd be happy if factories would engrave the word 'REPLICA' on the back of a dial / inside the case back.

From watching comparsion video. Most chinese dealer think clean is better in overall quality.
IMO whats better on BT are the hands and the case back.
dial color is good since many ppl here like the older white. But the sub dial ring is way too black . And there is a very obvious shinny ring around the sub dial in the video. Which seems to be a bit diff from gen. by the way the clean vs bt video had v1 clean with fat subdial

Yes i agree they have a outter ring. Clean has it too. Just imo on BT that ring is way too shiny or it might be sticking out of the dial abit , making it extremely obvious. Gen doesnt look like that. From video u can almost see that ring in most lighting. But who knows how it looks in real life lol.
also i think BT sub dial on white look a bit too slim.

Yeah in real life who knows. In gen, it is very obvious though, very highly polished. Not just on 116500, also 116519 ghost. I have a friend with gen panda and also tried on 116519 in NYC, first thing I notice is how highly polished it is and visible not just in jewellers light, in normal daylight too

The one on 116519 is very obvious on gen . But i dont really see it that much on panda. Damn it makes me want to buy a BT just to look at what its like. Lol

javicc - Pics from the link above show green to my eyes. The one you posted is clearly blue.
