I worked on more then 500+ replica watches from various factories and never see detached rehaut

Most people pissed off that their rehaut isnt aligned either dont have the tools or knowledge to remove a case back, loosen the movement screws and line it up. Its a 5 minute job but because its not done from the factory they kick off.

I know, but where do you draw the line? Misaligned datewheel/rehaut, dirty/dry movement, bad polishing/brushing, rough hand finish, badly seated crystal? I'm probably not the only guy here who can fix none of those issues... ​​​​​

Lol I don't know how but I had missed that thread. Probably the funniest in a long time. Thanks for the good laugh. Gonna buy myself a rehaut attachment tool now, never know when you're gonna need one of those

The detach rehaut was a shot a dude that was upset with a TD for selling him a watch with a "detached rehaut" he was very annoying with his bashing of the watch quality, even after he was told that there was no such thing as a detach rehaut. Guy was an idiot.

How are you meant to tell if a movement is shit from qc pics? If you cant do it yourself, just accept qc things you cant change (sel fitments and printing etc) and send it out for a service. It might seem like money wasted but when your watch comes back perfectly aligned and lasts a good 5 years, all of a sudden its money well spent.

Never had an issue with a zero-km service to make the watch fit for the next years or modding features that are a huge tell for a specific model. That's exactly why I'm a big fan of the 2824 against the RWI mainstream.

But I believe we're anyway too far OT already. My main point was that producing a 100% centered rehaut engraving relative to the lugs shouldn't be a huge effort with modern machinery.
