Weast!
Pretty sure the ST 16610 case is gen-spec bro (well except the lugs). Member lawlessflyer put a gen dial in one. So the issue with putting a BP dial in may be one of cutting off too much of the minute tic marks from view. It will be useful to know, please post back.

Did some more research, it seems that the ST 3135 case will only accept gen dial (27.2 or 27.3 mm from this thread https://rwg.cc/topic/177427-midcases-tc-vs-star-time-vs-phong/). Ah well, I guess I'll abandon the BP 16613LN dial idea.

I do love the BPs for their value, but the dial size and rehaut aperture is quite frustrating, not to mention the ETA datewheel position as mentioned earlier in the thread. I only held on to my BP 2836 16613LB for a few weeks before flipping. Also if anyone needs to know, the dial size for the BP 2836 16613 is a whopping 28.8mm.

Also, even though TDs advertise the BP 2836 5-digit sub as A2836, I am pretty sure A2824s are inside. I know mines did, the date didn't immediately click over. The Rolex font champagne date disc is available from rafflesdials, for 2824.

Thanks for the update. It's interesting what you mention about the 2824, I'll have to check mine. That would make sense because the crown sits so high on them. I always wondered how that could be.

I've put off getting a champagne date disc for my Serti LB because the date window is so narrow I thought it wouldn't fit. Somehow I got one with a white disc. It was a multiple watch order with multiple rejections, I was feeling bad for my TD and just finally took one.

So it looks like BP has recently released a whole bunch of 5 digit Subs......

Looks like each time I find a nice BP rep at Nembo's corner KJ2020 has done a thread about it LOL!

But seriously folks, what a pretty rep! What a value!

I am not really a submariner fan at all but this one really rocks my boat! If I ever were to buy a gen Sub this would be it!
(I like it a lot better than the 6 digits one also which looks chunky and clumsy to me)

I got 14 1/2 links! Had to take one out on the southern part of the strap!

Cellphone protectant on the way so i can protect the gold plated links from wearing off .....

Fuck sakes... Now I'm gonna need one of these for my next purchase.

I know since BP is partnered with GMF if there's a possibility these could now have VR3135's? I've seen GMF using them in their latest subs.

BP 5 digit Subs come with:

2836 or 2813 - date window and cyclops is in the ETA position

SA3135 (least preferred) - date window and cyclops is in the Rolex position

Kermit is ETA, shark is 3135, note the date window and cyclops positions.

Best place to window shop them all is non-TD TSWATCH

https://www.ts-stations.cn/mobile/products_list.php?CateId=159

Select BP factory

I just got a black BP 16610LN. It's decent enough to scratch the itch but does have the POS SA3135. The crystal on those is gen-spec (but not on the DG/ETA versions), the bezel is not. The bezel is held on with the octagonal wire and the insert space is too narrow to accept a gen.

Despite that, and the need to sand down some rough edges on the bracelet and clasp, it's a satisfying piece for around $350ish that I don't regret buying. I'm just going to wait for the SA to die and replace it with a VR. I can't see BP ever using a VR, they never have. GMF doesn't make these models.

I had a couple of 16610LN from BP, one with a "swiss" ETA and another with a Miyota 9015. Both great watches for a great price, actually. One of them even had quasi-perfect SELs!
