Wow. Great work! (I have lathe envy). Keep it coming, I really enjoy your work and watching it progress.
It’s seems like so much to add material and then shave it down. With your skills, you could start with a blank block and work in into a spec case. Amazing

Thanks mate, will definitely keep it coming if people are interested. I’m enjoying upgrading these older cases which have some good attributes like the chronotac and cartel cases. I also manually machine my own complete case designs for some customers it’s a lot of work but fun :)

I’ll update soon once I get the new assembly.

Also reworking an crappy old 16710 case into a 1675. New machined rehaut welded in a long with slimmed case and gen spec caseback seal groove. Weld Added material and machined crown guards to reshape. Not finished but it’s getting there, here’s a few pics if interested
I love what you’re doing. Add some material in the crown guards. The 1675 crown is 5.3 mm. The BP 16710 used a large crown. I imagine reshaping that inner area is going to be hard. Several of us are working on 1675 projects in the vintage forum. Come check us out.

I definitely will come over and check out what you guys are up to... yeah totally forgot about the smaller crown lol so I just did a full weld fill then re-machined and hand shaped the blank. Just need the slot size for the crown and I can mill the crown guards correctly. This is Normally the process I would go through. Also it’s achievable to get a good higher crown hight with the thinner case as the dial is seated higher in the rehaut Than the subs. Also waiting for a threat tap, research tells me it 2.5 x 0.25? Hopefully right lol. Once I’ve done that I’ll machine the rehaut blank and finish slimming the case lugs.

InTime was the only TD I could find that said they could get it without the rehaut engraving. Everyone else said it only comes with the engraving now.

I was hesitant at first, $268... i thought it must be a real stinker. But I've been told its the best one to get.
Can't wait to receive it.

Thanks for the heads up, anyone know where to buy a thin caseback for this model so that it wears lower on the wrist??
