Hi Guys, I got the QC photos for a 214270 bp 904 and I'm thinking of accepting it because it looks ok to me, the only thing that bothers me
it is in the index at 9 o'clock that there seems to be some dirt or glue and I would like to know if you can have it cleaned by a local watchmaker without having to refuse the watch and make the TD waste time, if instead it is a job that is not possible clearly not I accept it, another question but perhaps and only the light and the reflection it seems to me that the writings inside the bracelet are crooked I am waiting for your opinion.
Regards.
I got mine today. BP 316.
I'm afraid that the lume of the hour markers is not as white as it should be.
The hands are clearly more white. It's difficult to see on pictures. Moreover, the framing of the hour markers reflect the light very uneven, kinda cheap. I had the ARF before this one, and I must say that the overall quality and feel was better than this, even though the dial had many mistakes. The lume was also much stronger on the ARF.
KJ2020 can you please comment on the white colour of the lume ? Thanks
Just got this one in from Sead. BP 904l version.
I’m really impressed. I’ve never paid much attention to the explorer but it’s a nice watch. The bracelet feels good, better than I was expecting. The clasp has a really nice snap to it. SEL isn’t great but not something that bothers me at all.

The BP 214270 will only take a 2824 or equivalent, the 2836 will not fit due to stem height. It is more expensive than a comparable quality 2824 model and has an extra feature that isn't usable so why would you anyway?
The SW200 is not Seagull, it is Selitta. Selitta is a gen Swiss company that used to make parts for ETA. When the ETA patents ran out Selitta just started branding their own movements. They are as good as ETA and should be considered equivalent IMO.
There are different grades of gen Swiss 2824's, whether they are Selitta or ETA. You can spend as little as ~$160 on an entry level gen Selitta or as much as ~$300 if you want.
For a long time now I have used one particular Swiss based vendor for gen Swiss movements. They have never disappointed me for high quality movements, fair pricing, and flawless delivery.
This is his store's listings, seller name is b_line55cc. Movements ship from Bienne, Switzerland which is where Selitta is based.

This is just the information I was looking for, thank you so much!
I took a look at your link and there are definitively a few options. What is the best value for money in your opinion?
You can buy any movement from his store and be confident it should last OOTB for many years. I have no personal experience with the Swiss Technology Production (STP) line but they are listed as gen Swiss, so that's good enough for me. I might try one next time. If you feel better about spending a little more, this one is a good choice IMO.

After handling the gen at the AD, I ordered one (still waiting) so meanwhile I ordered a BP rep from Li which finally arrived. (stuck at customs) and to be quite honest, its leaves me with a feeling of 'Meeh' compared to my others even the BB 58.
Positives:
Bracelet, clasp, face, numerals, timekeeping accuracy all very good (+4 sec p day)
Negatives:
Tiny difficult crown to operate
Looks - mediocre (my personal view only)
Oh well, a spare watch at least
Hi all,
After reading all the comments, I finally pulled the trigger recently on BPF with Asia 2824.
Received my QC yesterday.
The Clasp, SEL and etc seems okay.
The fonts and numbers on the dial are acceptable for me.
The only problem I am really concern about is the crown alignment seems off, and the length of the second hand is too long?
It could be the angle of the picture because these is one photo that appeared decent. I am not sure or perhaps I am being over paranoid.
I have asked the TD to send another photo of the dial on a flat surface, waiting for response now.
Any comments would be appreciated.

Looks decent, I can see what you have mentioned but most likely just the angle. Easiest way is to ask your TD for a dead on pic/s
I recently purchased a BP 214270 and have noticed there is a ‘pinkish’ effect under certain low light conditions. The first picture above captures it. It’s not there in strong lighting conditions. I suspect it’s the crystal. You can see the pinkish effect when looking at the raised crystal edge in profile.I have the 316 version. Don't think it will be worth it to buy the 904 version. Not much difference on the wrist.
