Rolex GMT II V6 GMF 3285 CHS Is Out

Received the additional QC photos today (below) and it looks promising - KJ2020, I believe this is the correct VR movement?



If so, looks like I'll be giving it the GL as everything is in-order - very excited to receive this one.

I've just ordered this from Andrew, I asked for a photo of the movement when I get my QC pics but he just replied saying they don't normally open the caseback as it's invalidate the 6 month warranty. Can you give me some really simple instructions that I can pass on to them to help verify It is a VR3816, I wasn't quite sure what you meant by forward crown etc. Cheers

When you set the time in crown position 3, you turn the crown either forward (clockwise) or backward (anti-clockwise). If the hands move forward (clockwise) with forward crown rotation, it's a VR3186 movement.

If the hands move backward (anti-clockwise) with forward crown rotation, it's a GMF SA3285.

BTW if a TD is unwilling to open the caseback for a movement inspection, ask for a video of time setting.

SA3285 - Fwd crown = Backward hands
VR3185/6 ‐ Fwd crown = Fwd hands

Just ordered a GMF V6 from Trusty Time and can't wait. Will be comparing to my gen once I receive it

You're probably right bro, the red on the GMF looks a little brighter with less halo but hard to tell in pics. If CF is sharing, all the others are probably buying. So there would only be minor batch variations.

So V6 GMF is same CF insert? I have a CF which is great, but insert is just too dark for my personal preference. Indoors in a shadow I can almost confuse it for my black insert 116710.

Maybe I’m looking for an MK1 rep or just spend too much time looking at my 16710?

If only Clean/GMF would take a few drops from their blue ceramix mixture and put it in the red ceramic it would solve the "brownish" color and make it super great.

They can make almost everything else 98% genlike on the watch, dont understand the problem really. Would almost think it's on purpose
