Hi all,

I am reaching out to you all to not only document but also request help. I recently purchased a Noob BLRO from PureTime and have been sent a defunct watch.
Puretime is a "trusted dealer" yet are absolutely refusing to return my money or send me a new watch. I will now list the two issues both of which are significant enough to warrant a refund. The actions of puretime are beyond reason and given the trust-based nature of our community I am truly shocked and disgusted at their behaviour. There is major latency in responses and constant refusal to progress complaints,

Firstly please see a link to the description of the watch. I would like to draw your attention to the following - "" turn it clockwise to adjust hours and date easily, same adjusting as genuine" https://imgur.com/a/jYDYCTj

Now please see the movement I received - https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1E5FrU0zm6WhVUsiVO0Kulz3E2rkyPFJe?usp=sharing
As you can all appreciate the winding of the watch is incorrect and moves anticlockwise with orthodromic rotation of the crown.

The second )and arguably larger issues) is the date wheel is broken. It does move or adjust (stuck between 2-3). I have highlighted all of these issues with puretime to little avail.

The crux of it is - puretime should be stripped of there TD status if they cannot operate in a fair manner, if they misrepresent facts on their websites, and if they think they can cheat people within our family.

Other than m2m sales I’ve collected many from puretime with no problems at all! Hope you get it resolved via forum format.

I have also purchased many years from PT with no issues. The time setting in your Noob GMT movement is correct. It is an Asian A2824 and to set time forward you need to turn the crown anti-clockwise. This is correct and opposite of the genuine 3186 movement. What the PT description means is turning the GMT hour hand clock wise to set the date (not the time) which it does. This is done in crown position 2. In fact, setting the date is the same as the genuine.

I’m sorry to hear of the date issue. I hope it gets resolved. We all get the occasional issue—it is a replica after all. Sometimes upon arrival, sometimes after. It may not be worth sending back to China for repair with extra risk customs, plus it will take a long time for the repair. Most of us try and fix it locally. Then reach out to PT to possibly give you some consideration on your next order.

This is the nature of our hobby. I hope this helps.

The OP claims to have purchased an A3285 Noob but the watch in his video is not A3285. Correct me if im wrong but the 3285 moves forward with clockwise crown rotation?

U.K.

FFS. A clone 3285 does NOT exist. It is simply a 2824 with look a like stamping on it!! As my learned friend above has said, it is correct and the OP has indeed received the correct latest Noob blro.
Obviously it has issues but let’s not start posting stupid inaccurate comments to make matters worse for him or anyone else trying to understand these differences.

OK, calm down bro. Your watch probably came to you like it should.

First, are you familiar with the various Rolex GMT movements both rep and gen? Do you know how they set time? I see you just joined recently so maybe you didn't research your purchase as thoroughly as you might have, and maybe you don't know how the gen 3285 sets time.

There are several good threads running concerning Rolex GMTs, and the watch you bought in particular. I will post some links for you to look at below. In the meantime, know this:

1. The gen 3285 advances hands forward by anti-clockwise crown rotation.

2. There are no rep 3285 movements. Yours in an ETA 2824 CHS which quite coincidentally happens to also advance hands by anti-clockwise crown rotation.

3. ETA CHS movements are very fragile and need to be manipulated with kid gloves and in very specific ways to keep them from breaking.

4. You CAN in fact " turn it clockwise to adjust hours (not date) easily, same adjusting as genuine" although I'm betting Puretime did not actually know this when they made this claim. This is standard verbiage written for another GMT rep movement, the A3186. TD websites often have errors relating to movements or features and it's incumbent on you to do your due diligence and research to know what you are buying.

5. No TD is going to advertise that the ETA 2824 CHS movement that you bought is a timebomb, nor will they offer what precautions you should take to maximize its longevity.

6. You got the watch you paid for. You may have broken it already by manipulating it improperly. There are no aftermarket CHS movements available, your best bet to find one is the very source you are unabashedly bashing. A post like yours is not the way to handle your issue.

Read some more here and educate yourself better next time. Unfortunately for you the watch you bought this time needed a lot more prep work than you gave it.
