New ORF SMPc 300m A8800 released today

Is not the "cheap" ORF as I've called those out for people so know the ORF / vs's the crap one people have been had by. In regards to the bracelet, it has really sharp edges and sounds hollow, you know that cheap metal clangy sound you get with cheap watches, nasty. The rotor is the loudest I've ever heard (I own 25+ automatic watches and have worn gen Omegas), on my wrist the combo of the rotor and the bracelet sounds link I'm waring bangles, it clangs and rattles like nothing I've ever known lol.

How much does it weight? Mine with braclet and all links is 194 grams.

Have you had the vsf to compare because what you're describing sounds like a vsf bracelet.

I agree, that's why I asked for its weight, if the bracelet is indeed hollow it should be lighter than my watch that I posted above. I worry that with the raids, factories or TDs may be using substandard parts just to fulfill orders. With regards to the movement my ORF is silent with absolutely no rotor noise. I hope ORF hasn't engaged in some type of pump and dump scheme where they produce high quality reps and then once they have a good reputation replace them with substandard watches. I would hope any reputable TD would catch the change in quality during QC and not send it off to its customer.

It's not hollow, it's just the sound I'm trying to explain. Will weigh it when I can. I think I had much higher expectations form this watch than I should have.

Very unlikely they'd get an ORF movement, ORF case, ORF face, ORF crystal, and then try to pop a matching rose gold bracelet from another factory on it.

Idk. The way you're describing doesn't coincide with anyone else's experience. My orf bracelet is smoother, quieter and way better finished/polished than vsf. Minus the color difference in blue and maybe the crystal majority of people will agree the orf is a lot better than the vsf

It should fit but it is more likely to be the crown tube based on past experience.

After sharing my experience with Trusty here in this thread, I think he’s now punishing me I paid 25 usd more for transshipment through UK and now my ORF is with his UK guy for the past 8 days

I asked several times if there is any problem and he only says “will share tracking once we transship it”

made the payment on Aug 08 with him mentioning ORF was readily available.

they already charge us 60 usd for a shitty $10 postal shipping and now look at this treatment I face

Some of these things take time I'm sure, it's pretty delicate process to ensure that you get it.

I know it took me almost 2 months to receive my Submariner from initial purchase to waiting for stock and then delivery. It had arrived in the country earlier and then it just stayed there for weeks.

It certainly a test of patience, but you're going to get it, you just need to wait a little longer.

so my ORF arrived today and I got some first impressions on the piece that I’d like to share.

good points; Bezel, dial, hands, lugs and case is very nice and very genlike. 9.5/10 from me. No words to add, hands down a NWBIG in terms of these. Maybe the beginning of the red tip of the hand is a bit off but no big issue.
Bezel action is on point, very gen like (its a hard to rep feature imho, so kudos)
Crystal, there are some glares but I checked gen few weeks ago and it too had some glares. Bracelet looks aesthetically good, BUT, see below for the catch

now bad points; bracelet adjusting is a nightmare. Most screws have worn threads and are glued in. Very difficult to remove them and unsafe to screw them in again. Need to send it to my watchmaker to fix and glue all those screws after final adjustment. Secondly, very sloppy job on movement engravings.
added the pics. You can see the paint is scattered before it dried on SWISS and THIRTY FOVE JEWELS writings, looks really ugly. Cannot show this caseback to anyone. Will ask my watchmaker if he can fix it.

I don't have anything to add to this :

No glue and good threads.
One link too wide but I had to remove 3 links to match my wrist diameter.
That's all.
If I must say one bad thing ? Bezel and oscillating weight are noisy. Bezel is also a bit hard to set.

Talking about movement engravings, my eyes see them nice and clean. My picture below don't honor quality.

For me it's a NWBIG and my future favorite daily-driven.
Bracelet color matches my wedding ring color, that's the only reason I choose this version. Blue dial because it does the job well with rose gold.

I just wonder if sending it for a service right away would be a waste of time and money.
