Hey guys, apologies if this has already been answered but would an ETA movement fit this watch? And if so what would you guys recommend? I bought the model with the 3135 movement. I also plan to swap the bracelet from my ARF V2 onto this unit.

Cheers

You might be able to transfer the insides from an Arf 2824 version complete with movement ring, hands, dial etc but otherwise no.

Rolex have used different manufacturers over the years such as Singer etc!! In fact they outsource quite a few parts actually.

Yes I know that chap , Singer used to make Rolex dials . They made a lot of the famous vintage dials such as the Paul Newman .Also Beyeler,Stern and other small Swiss makers have made dials for Rolex. However Rolex bought Beyeler in '99 -2000 so they could bring the production in house . So for the last 20 years Rolex have made their own dials .

I know other parts were outsourced to other manufacturers. However Rolex have either absorbed these companies or moved the manufacture of them in house.

On a modern ( current ) Rolex the company claim the only part of the watch not manufactured by themselves in house and outsourced are the Xtals .

Rolex are just weird .they must have diffent companies making there xtals.and they change suppliers to the visable lec
xtals I guess.looking at your pics the lec is very clearly visible in your pics.just like my new xtals.
my old xtals was nearly impossible to see the lec unless in direct bright sun.or using a flashlight.anyway just something I noticed. It's a trend with rolex they constantly change stuff with there watches and parts

You know why is like that my brother? Cause they CAN. They have more people in the line for their watches than theres hungry people waiting for the bread. They even convinced people that steel is more expensive than fucking gold! Blue Sky is 7K more expensive than two tone Sky on grey market. Dont be surprised by Rolex anymore bro. There is few haters here who could say I bs now but they can suck my lil duck ;)

sorry but your arguments are bullshit. There are for sure more people who hunger than who want to buy a Rolex, even though I know you’re just trying to make up a fun comparison, it’s not even close and pretty tasteless.

additionally, Rolex didn’t convince anyone steel was more worth than precious metals. The market decided that by itself.

Gen hands fitted! Draw your own conclusions but I think they match well!

gen hands have a wonderful gold sparkle in the flesh. This just shows how good the zzf dial is!

Seems like the pinion hole got a difference.
Do you think it is possible to use gen hands (hour + minutes) with with zzf (seconds hand)?

Haha yeah I got myself a yamaha silver cloth to polish it. Bad move to polish if you ask me.

Decided to polish cos my friend's tag Heuer and AP is damn shiny, mine look very dull plus I had some scratches while replacing the crystal. After polishing it's shiny but it feels something is amiss :/

I would try now with a Bergeon 5444, the fine or the medium one, think that will be able to recover your watch

Wow, that really is the best rep dial made, dw look great too. The hands do match well no need for gen dial anymore!
Much less modding required on a Zzf now you’ve cleaned it and added the hands and xtal you’ve won me over. It’s great

I see that. All the hands fitted nice and snug. Maybe seconds pinion is longer than gen.
