Well I disassembled my ZF Blancpain FF and here is some news:
I absolutely love the quality and craftsmanship if the Case, the bezel and so on, they did an amazing job there. everything looks and feels very gen-like and luxorious.
but when it comes to the dial and inside finish:
The hands and hour markers on the dial were scratched, smeared (fingerprints, lume uneven) and so on. horrific. the movement was running fine but when i just wanted to put the crown back in i wreched the crown push pin at the main bridge. then i had a closer look at the movement and it turned out that they didn´t print a whole date disk but simply took an old white one and glued a black date disk simply ontop of it. this caused the dial to sit unevenly on the movement!
I have now mirror polished hands and hour markers, relumed with superluminova c3.
I now sent the watch to domi so that he can install a swiss eta movement. then i guess the watch ins perfec both on the inside and outside. will upload pics in a week when it´s ready
Any chance you know the beat of the gen movement of FF. Is it the same as the one installed in rep, 28.800? The reason for the change to ETA is just personal satisfaction? Since the common opinion that the Seagull installed is quite good.
Thanks!
