Just received mine. It will only run for a few seconds before stopping. Can get it going again by adjusting time/GMT but after a few seconds it stops. Yes, i’ve wound it a lot.

Does anyone one know if there’s an easy fix for this or will I have to return to TD?

Is there a possibility to while trying set GMT or date you gave damage to mechanism I mean while crown wasn't in proper position you pushed too much?

Hmmm, I don’t think so. Once I peeled all the cellophane off I wound it and set the time as I would with other similar GMT watches. 20 minutes later I noticed the time hasn’t changed and then realised it would only run for a few seconds.

Anyway, it’s worse now :/ possibly my fault.

I opened it it up and removed the movement and dial to lightly manipulate the hands to see if that solved the issue (maybe one was slightly bent and stopping another from moving or something). That didn’t help so I put it back together. However, I then noticed that the minute hand is sometimes just loosely flopping around. Oops. Not sure if I caused this or if it is related to initial issue..or both.

This probably isn't the thread for this as I'm sure you just want to discuss then watch, not my issue. I'll ask in another bit of the forum after this one query. It does seem to bey that loose minute hand that was impeding the second hand as now I can get it to run continuously by manipulating the loose second hand. So maybe I need to reinsert the loose minute hand...? Can anyone advise? I've tried pressing down fairly firmly and it hasn't clicked in to place or anything. Do I need to remove both the second and minute hand maybe?

You need to remove ALL hands and re seat them onto the canon pinion.

Suggest you take it to a watchsmith if you dont have proper tools or knowledge on this cos you may end up scratching or bending the hands beyond use.

Any watchsmith can take hands out and put them back. Its basic watchmaking.

Thanks. Helpful to know that I might be on the right track. I did actually manage to remove the second hand (but not the others) and tried to push the others down, but it didn’t seem to secure the minute hand so perhaps I should have removed them all. You’re probably right that this is best left to someone with experience and the right tools. I can see how easy it is to damage the dial or hands. I’ll see how easy it is to find a suitable watchsmith, but I might accept the risk and see if I can do it myself.

Anyway, it’s a very nice looking watch that would be even better if it worked.

I feel you, it sucks to receive a faulty watch. Hopefully you can sort it out

Beautiful. Love how in some light the Pepsi looks like the coke gmt!

Mine is on the way and should hopefully reach me within the week. Ready to for the gmt function to be put to use on a trip to New York the week after

I was just about to return mine to TD to repair the floppy minute hand but after some advice in the tech section of this forum decided to give it one more go. I just had to squeeze the tube (where the minute hand slots into the pinion) a bit with some pliers and then it attached nicely and all works well now.

The bezel was also 30seconds misaligned when I received it (weird, because it was spot on in QC photos) so I’ve just removed the bezel and realigned the insert. I’ve decide not to use any adhesive. I’d rather not as it seems kind of cheap to do it that way when gens fit without it. It seems pretty secure but if I lose it I will buy a gen one from eBay.

Anyway, after a shakey start the watch is really growing on me.

Mine has exact same issue with the bezel, it clicks just past where it should but as it’s quite stiff it’s easy to manipulate it to be aligned.

I will attempt to remove and reset the insert at some point I’m sure.

I’m amazed at the quality, long time since I’ve had a rep but few and quality alone make this a great watch for the price. Time will tell as for the movement but I’m heading to New York next week so can at least test the gmt function for when I’m making calls back home to the uk.

Bezel action great, no lume spills, everything perfectly aligned, the bezel insert is also nice. No complaints about the quality, I just don't dig it so much in the metal. Too thick or something, can't put my finger on what it is that's bothering me..

I really like the crown:
