ZF RM55, new super clone movement

I saw this new rm055 from RMF on Intime, good price point $668. Movement looks good.

There are quite a few subtle differences, the ribs on the RMF do not have the "painted" appearance like the ZF. I hope they start prioritizing improvements to the NTPT case texture as these movements are great as is. Seems like good value at that price

From the video observation, IMO the carbon ntpt pattern in the RMF/YSF is slightly more substantial but the anti-reflective coating (purple) is clearly prevalent in the ZF version.

it is to be honest, but you would need to have experience both in person

I’ve only seen the non carbon in person for the gen. And the rep from I think vsf?
The rep just seems like you said, matte and unattractive even though I haven’t seen the gen.

The photos of the gen seem exaggerated too and they look very very sheen / shiny. I’m guessing they aren’t THAT shiny in person

ABD now releasing bezel sets for the ZF RM55 in proper NTPT, the insta account that purports to be them (which hasn't been active in ages) started posting again. Sets look pretty good, but as always with ABD order at your own risk.

The red TPT on their page from a while ago looks a lot like the VVS stuff, so they could end up in TD hands although nothing is for sure. On a side note, someone now needs to make a movement for the RM11 that isn't a 7750 and some extra plates, I've wanted a proper red one for years and that case is worlds better than the old KVF red "quartz" one I have.

Yeahhh the pictures from RMF are pretty surprising compared to the ZF, at a significantly cheaper price, I'll wait until they drop their ceramic to compare the 2
