I actually think it’s a good sign that they are not rushing this project. Maybe for once we will skip a few v1, v2... with obvious annoying mistakes.
If you look at the Breguet 7057 that was repped, there was so many problems at launch that they had to delay the whole thing and it discouraged a lot of people from buying.
I like your thought process, but I can't say I have seen any reps that doesn't need to go pass maybe until V3 when the "general" public are happy with. In my experience the Black bay and Pelagos V1 was very good, but that too has a bit of flaws which people aren't happy to settle with. Also that's how the rep factories make money, by issuing versions afterwards for the "real" inpatient buyers.
TBH the RM 011 is not really mechanically hard to rep compared to the likes of the 4130 Daytona, Annual Calendar Portuguese or the Breguet 7057 you have mentioned where they have to clone/re-designed a movement. IF the new RM 011 has a working month, I can see why it will take longer but anything else, they already have a good base to begin with where there are so many RMs to piggy back on.
