Sorry to not read the whole thread but is either new zf or v6 better than the old Noob? Noob on malio fiddy is a great combination.
@Lindt. Awesome set of wheels.
In my opinion V6 it's better than old Noob or ZF.
Here is comparsion between Noob and KW:

Well thank you for the compliment you are welcome.
+1 exactly the point I wanted to make also! The gens where know to have distortion and one of the unique points which add up to make the 127 THE fiddy.Seems like everyone is looking for almost no distortion... I think the distortion is what makes the fiddy special. Happy with my zf

After looking at the review of the KW I will keep my ZF. TBH the differences are minute and ZF are better in some areas and KW are better in others. There is always bias on those reviews anyway because the person that reviews actually owns that particular model. I can see issues with KW after that review quite clearly and the ZF also has those flaws as well. But overall both are very very good. In real life you wont be able to tell either apart without 100x zoom shots anyways
Check out the distortion on this gen... right at the beginning of the video:

Yep many of the earlier gens seem to have crystal distortion, but that doesn't make it aesthetically pleasing or acceptable. The reason later gens don't have as much distortion was most likely because Panerai saw this as an aesthetic flaw and sought to improve it. Thus, crystal distortion may not be a factor in "gen-accuracy" necessarily, but it's still an eye-sore nonetheless.
OK... to each their own. But I think the distortion looks cool and sets it apart from other Luminors.
