I own a noob 127 and 217 which I bought from the first batch that came out 4 or so years ago. Both are in as new condition. Is there any reason to buy either of the new 217 versions or the z factory 127?

lol they got the engraving under the balance wheel wrong, it says 6497-1 but it is a 6497-2 movement and panerai don't have that marking, they have their own serial number

I have noticed that mistake too...
What you mean by gen dont have that marking? Im quite sure that gens have 6497-2 under the bw. Maybe the other numbers are different

the gen does not say 6497-2 it has a string of alphanumeric characters under the BW. see the second paragraph in Marlin's post:

at least the factories are making steps in the right direction, albeit very very slow small steps, lol.

I emailed Kingwatch (trusted on RWG) to ask if they had the ZF and KW 127's in stock, and they said they had both for $415. Of course, I followed up by asking for QC pictures of the KW 127 and he told me that I'd have to order one first because the product was just released. Bummer. :sad:

I know where all going insane for this thing I personally have decided to take a step back and not even entertain buying one for at least a month until everyone figures out what the heck these are and some reviews have been written. Oh, and get this, Davidsen is building them too lol. I think we got ourselves a good old fashioned Mexican Standoff.

Could be for a good reason ... maybe the TDs here won't sell something until they've had it in their hands and/or have QC pictures to provide. Makes them more "trustworthy" if anything, if this is the case.

Yeah screw it. The pictures look decent and the differences are probably minimal - whether its ZF better or KW better I'm sure I will enjoy it. Been after a PAM127 for ages now.
