I am sure man. I got an email yesterday from my TD and SHE said something about more delays and whether I still want one.....in the end i said forget it and changed my order for another rep. Can’t wait any longer for the black dial....my silver dial will do for now.

Just out of curiosity what did you change it to?

A stunning watch. I came close to pulling the trigger on the white dial many times, but my OCD couldn't make me see past the dial pattern lol

I don’t know man, the pattern looks close enough to my eyes and let’s face it nobody can prove what diffenent gen grain batches/variations exist. But yeh, I agree we all have our own little OCDs.

Beyond the academic interest that there is indeed a difference, it has never bothered me.

Gen (left), Rep (right):

Gen seems to have thinner, longer triangle pattern. Rep shorter fatter triangle pattern. Something you'd never notice on the wrist, or even next to gen if you weren't looking for flaws. It's even hard to see under magnification. I have the VC Oversea's on my growing list of reps to own. It's a great rep IMO

Yes, I see the difference.

If this was AP or another popular model, the difference would bother me more.

However, this watch is so elusive in gen that I have no idea what different gen batches exist.

There are no grain dial gens for sale on chrono24 and it’s not easy finding pictures of gen.

I just like to try out different watches for fun. Chances are that I will not keep it more than a week. Lol

The pattern is spot on, it's just the the triangles on the gen dial are diagonal, while the on the rep they are straight. Now, no one is gonna notice it, but you are right, that we all have our little things. I'm sure there are things that annoy you about it that I would be fine with lol

on the Gen the triangles sit back to back, point to point in each row. On the Rep, the patterns staggered half on, so you get point meeting a back if that makes sense .haha just what i noticed. and i'm sure its very hard to see on the wrist.

Actually, as well as the VC, I’ve been on a bit of a watch buying bender this week and also have these on order:

4. My also dying to order the new VSF Omega AT GMT but waiting until confusion over case size is sorted (gen pic):
