Just received my Grey 15500 from a CONUS seller off RWI sales forum.... stunning just stunning . ZF has done a good job. I have a VAC LUME fully serviced ZF 15400 Blue. Love them both ... will post pics side by side soon

Can’t agree with you on this, sorry

Exactly my response when OP posted :D The gen movement is in a league of it own.

However as mentioned, I will not pay gen price for this model, not worth owning the gen 15500 for me.

Hey guys, what is the OK power reserve for 15500?

If I don't wear the watch full day, and, say, half day only it stops next morning before I wake up.
So it either charges very insufficiently or reserve is just very low.

It also looks like this was not the case before and started more recently, after I owned the watch for several weeks.

Does anyone else experience the same problem?

My Miyota once fully winded was running for easly 30+ hours without wearing the watch.
Do you wind it? or just shake it for start the movement and then wear it?

Thanks. Do not wind it, just shake and wear. Not the most active wear due to corona, but still watch stopping at 6 every morning is a suspicious.

my 15500 i just received has a good power reserve ... i wind it at half, yesterday, and this morning it was still working !

My only concern is the rotor ! mine is quite noisy (i have to really move it to hear it but still ...)

From what I've seen the gen dial is slightly better looking with a better sunburst effect. With a gen dial in this, it will be close to perfect.

Similar issue on my white dial QC date way to skew to the top...

I ended up accepting after being sent a ZF white dial dissembled. Look at the size differences in 21 & 31 compared to 22. You’ll never get perfect across all dates.

Holy crap! I've got to check all my dates.

Or maybe skip it so I can keep wearing the watch.

Guys, as this forum is an institution for learning may I request someone who owns both the ZF AP 15500 & Gen to post a pic of the back of the watch so we newbies can learn a few things :)

Yeah it needs slightly rotating to the left, but I don't think its worth doing. Maybe if you send it in to get the rotor silenced. It's very slight, and luckily the AP logo blends in with the dial mostly, it's only when light directly shines onto it that you can even see it in my experience! It is rather good :)

Enjoy it!
