Got my 15500 and it looks great but of course the MYOTA sounds like its grinding rocks in there. I want to take it to a watch repair shop and have them service it. What specifically should I tell them I need/want done to it to silence the movement? Or do I just let them have at it?

There's a DIY tutorial on this which explains where to oil it with a specific lubricant. You'll just have to search for the tutorial.

Oooh. Nice blue strap. I had the same idea and found one from Rubber B.

May I ask, for what size and where did you buy from? Tompa I wonder if there is another vendor that has a better fit to the lugs for the rubber straps.

Reps are fun because you can modify them all you want without feeling the possible regret. Unlike Gens where you are hesitant to put modifications in case you want to re-sell. Straps mods are the easiest way to be expressive with your watch and have one of each color to suit your mood of the day. :p

Thank you

hello guys
waiting for the most beautiful clock in the galaxy 15500 to arrive:plugintree:

I saw this video where obviously I didn't understand anything (there are not even subtitles)

I don't understand why it makes the clock shake at minute 9 ????

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NvoKHgTdEjU&t=15s

Thank you for the video. At the end of the video, it compares the ZF factory's 3 colors of dial. For those that do not understand chinese, the reviewer says that blue is the most beautiful but black is the most gen like. He did not make comment on the grey against the gen but can sense it is his least favorite among the 3 dials.

The reviewer seems to be rather objective as in some parts of the video, he speaks about the flaws of the hand base and how they do not compare to the gen. He also talks about the loud noise of the movement which is consistent with the feedback from the other members here.

Where I need to be.
Edit: pics of 15202 irrelevant in a 15500 thread.

michaelle1193 kindly note not to do the following again:

1. Posting of QC pics and asking for general assistance. You may post a QC pic if you have a specific concern. Like the markers being crooked, or date misaligned for example.

2. Please do not post irrelevant pics in a dedicated thread. This is a 15500 thread. Not one for 15202.

Do try to observe the rules and integrate yourself meaningfully into the community. You have been here for 2 years, and not a noob anymore. Thank you.

6.5” wrist. I know the 15202 will look better on my wrist but I think I can pull off the 15500. I’m 5’11” and 190 lbs.

I like the dial better on the 15500. Arggg can’t decide.

I know it's a hard decision to make, the AP Royal Oak models tend to have a longer lug to lug (length) dimension when compared to other watches with the same diameter. If the length of the 15500 goes over the top edges of your wrist, I think you're better off with the 15202. It's your decision to make, whatever makes you happy. All the best.

It's not just about wrist size IMO. 5'11 190lbs is quite stocky so it will look fine. Forearm size is just as important. Furthermore I've read that the 15202 is actually wider at its widest point compared to the 15500, as in the bracelet flares out more.

Not disputing this but it will be surprising for me if this was true. The 15202 is 39mm and the 15500 is 41mm. Both have a tapering bracelet which starts the same as the width of the midcase and tapers down to the clasp, and the clasp is wider in the 15500, and it has a thicker bracelet too (that’s besides the point)

The crown of the 15202 looks to be thicker but that could be because of perspective VS the rest of the watch. So I’m merely curious how the 15202 could be wider than the 15500 at its widest point. I’m not challenging this but I’ll just like to see it for myself and learn a new fact.
