Question for the gen owners, how loud is the 22K gold rotor in the gen watch?

I understand the Miyota is noisy, would like to know how noisy is the "benchmark".

It's rather quiet though you can hear it spin a little bit. However it doesn't free spin unlike the miyota that can spin for seconds, accentuating the fact that it seems loud

Blue dial looks not that bad maybe i buy one and compare it to my JF V2.

Im still rocking the jf v2 as well, really like the dial colour on it. Im guessing your the same, i just wish the tapisere had less of a nipple effect. This is the first watch that has made me consider replacing the current one. Omf dial is sweet as though.

Where I need to be.

The gen is not completely silent, there is still a light whir when watch is shaken. But you need to realize that ALL mechanical watches will have some kind of sound when the watch is shaken.
The miyota sound makes the watch sound cheap, being rattly, tinny and way too loud.
It is hard to provide a benchmark for you by description but lets just say that if you are blindfolded, and each watch put at a distance of 1m from you, you will be able to hear the Miyota and not a typical gen.

Not all watches make sound when shaken. Gen Rolex for example do not make any sound.

However, I just received my black 15400 QC pics and 5 screws on 8 are crooked. I asked to fix this (they are screwed with the screws below, simply unscrew them, put them back in position, and tighten them again) and I’m waiting for new QC now.

i would be interested in those pictures of the watch you rejected. It is not against the rules to post them in this situation so please feel free to share them with us for educational purposes and in favor of the discussion about this new release to slowly build up a consensus.

I feel like they don’t take a clear look at these watches anymore.

Thanks for the feedback!

One silly question, pardon my ignorance. Why does the 15400 and 5711 reps all come with a Miyota, why don't they use another 3 hand & date movement. There are less noisy movements out there for example A2824?

Has anyone noticed the uneven space near the center of the rotor around the bearings?

The JF 15400 and gen have no gap/are even, where as the Z+F has a very noticeable uneven gap.

Has anyone recieved this watch yet? This gap would make me think the rotor would be even noisier.

Haven’t received mine yet (maybe 1.5 weeks left) but if you watch
Tigerdragon video from page 18, at the 10 min mark the guy shakes the watch. I don’t speak Chinese, but it seems like he’s attempting to show what little rotor sound there is.
