Re-done the crown to make it look less blotchy. So now its dark, especially in the .. uhh crevices.. but shiny at the peaks/edges, thus mimicking patination with regular use.

Patination Instructions

Watch has been aged with sulphuric acid bath treatment. Additional touches have been applied/brushed on via cotton eartips soaked with sulphuric acid.

- The acid bath is prepared by diluting a piece of liver of sulphur or a teaspoon of XL liver of sulphur gel with water. It should kinda look like dark early morning piss, and smell like rotten eggs.

- Clean the watch with water and dunk the entire watch in while wearing rubber gloves

- Leave watch in there for a good 20-30 seconds. It will get really really dark! Dont worry!!

- Remove watch from bath and rinse off with running water

- Polish the watch lightly, especially around the edges to give it a proper 'well worn' look where edges are less dark due to more contact with our flesh and fabric. The colour should now be what you want it to be.

I highly recommend XL Gel liver of sulphur. Very ******* easy to use.

Why not?
I wonder corresponds to the size ostrap rep, size strap gen 23?22.

Well... Because this question was answered every other page on this thread.

This is like someone asking who has the best sub on page 13 of a V6s vs BP vs JF thread

Anyway, you're not being a dick about this so, here you go

Strap update. Ideal measurements for a custom strap are 23.5/22.5. The strap narrows approx 1mm

Haha. Would've been less trouble just telling him the size. Bloody Aussies! No wonder the English put them on a boat and sent them to the other side of the world.

Damn, I think Douglas Adams said that "a common mistake people make, is when someone designs something completely foolproof and then underestimates the ingenuity of complete fools"

I bumped up the size and pasted the response I have given.

Find Woldo!

P.S. Your current location makes your post ever so more intriguing

The new bronze comes in A2824! How is it compared to Miyota?

As I'm the 3rd guy with the unusual 'loose screw' in the watch, I think the best QC would be to ask if the damn watch rattles. My rotor was dead silent on arrival then it became really rattly. Opening up the caseback revealed a loose screw......................... Well at least my watch is now greased down well.

Yup. Miyota too..

I figured what it was.. there are 3 tiny plates holding the movement in place, this loose screw is part of that holding plate. My tiny plate also went missing.. but re-appeared the 3rd time I opened it for waterproofing of the crown....

I've added some WD40 to the rotor bearings. I've heard that WD40 doesn't do movement bearings too well as it can slow the rotor down but in my case it quieten down the movement by a good 20-30%. It still spins but its much less audible now.

Timed the movement at +2.1spd which is... exemplary.

My ETA 2824 watch came out at +9.0spd and my NH35 came in at +11
