I LOVE my SS Pilot Type 20, but I am really thinking about buying the bronze version and selling the SS...

Honestly, how loud is the movement in that bronze (Miyota, right?)

My bronze pilot is loud when listening specifically for it. I don't notice it just wearing it around unless I flick my wrist just right and the rotor free spins.

I was was looking for a bronze buckle and couldn't justify spending $70-100 for one that would patina. I believe when I looked up pics the real buckle is stainless with the star. So rep is accurate I think.

Re BRONZE BUCKLE

Though not renowned for being helpful with 'bits' the dealer you bought your watch might sell you a buckle that you could get bronze plated. You'd need to take buckle and watch to the plating shop and they'd determine how best to plate it. Alternatively you could just get them to copper plate one and then you can age it using readily available chemical applications. If you know a gunsmith they'll have barrel blueing. It contains the same chemicals used to age residential door hardware etc. but of a project but a worry one if it makes the difference between you loving your watch and not.

Or you could just give it to me [emoji16]

The cheapie version but still gets great compliments. Definitely my favorite watch at the moment.

I apologize if this is a dumb question, but I just go mine a week ago and was wondering how to change the strap on this watch. I noticed there are screws on the lug and was wondering if you loosened those or not to change out the strap? Thanks for the help.

Hi, the Zenith Pilot Type 20 is using standard spring bars.
Use a spring bar tool or anything thin enough. Leave the lug screws alone. Cheers!

There's now two current models, the ZF's V2 ones and the V6F.

Wonder what are the differences.

PS: Oh now there's a SS version with the 9015 movement

V6f is gen construction with screws securing bezel, and still is friction fit bezel. Slightly different watches.

for me ZF and V6 don't have the same AR... Maybe one is "nicer" than the other... But I don't know which one

I had the V6 version, really nicely made, but I sold it because of the little too cloudy crystal for my eyes...

Has anyone got the ZF stainless steel version? And how it compared with V6F?

Thanks
