Sorry but my healthcare has doubled in price in the last year and my family deductible went up to 8k, so it has been a disaster for us.

You Don't Know How Good You Have It With Obama

Are you getting it through the Affordable Care Act or is Obamacare getting the blame for your employer raising your deductible and your co-pay? In more and more cases, employers are shifting more of the costs to the employee and in many cases basic healthcare plans have gone up because the quality of the minimum coverage was forced to increase.
Maybe you should log on and check to see what is available through your State exchange. You might get a surprise.

Your might be right and I would explore different options if my wife didn't change jobs which included free health care with her new position. When our rates went up we went to the Affordable Care website and couldn't get anything better at that time. So until she changed jobs we were stuck paying a shit ton of money for health care that had higher deductibles. True statement and no hidden agenda here.
For the record I didn't like the last guy in the oval office either.
As a business owner I am not a fan of the ACA. The health care market has been thrown up in the air as a result. Friends who are doctors and business owners have the same position. Not sure how many folks are better off now, honestly. I see the ACA getting a major overhaul at some point.
As a business owner I am not a fan of the US corporate tax rate. It provokes detrimental international mergers and offshore accounting sleight-of-hand.
As a business owner, I am happy that I own a business in the US. Business is pretty darn good now and looking good down the road.

Not complaining. Not whining. Just making points. Points with a purpose, I hope.
No society is perfect in the eyes of all. As long as there is a way to accommodate differences so the greater good is assured, there is dialogue and society moves forward.
A lack of reasonable dialogue generates decay and social death. Arguing like ten year olds is not reasonable dialogue, IMHO.
Whining is, IMO, complaining for its own sake. Stating an opinion of a problem along with a proposed solution is dialogue.
I think we should also mention that despite all the hype, there isn't a single case of Teabola currently in the United States.
I'm a South African who's been living in Costa Rica for the last few years, and whenever I bitch about something, my fiance (US citizen, but been living here for 15 years) reminds me of this: OK, fair enough - you hate thing X, but where would go that thing X is better? And would you want to live there? What about thing Y that you have here but don't have there; are you willing to trade it?

You could have a saint or moron as the leader, but the country and its existence whether good or bad, remains. In a dictatorship, or some other form of leadership, the country is shaped by its leader, and the population sees and feels that. Not so in America, nope. Life goes on here, and it aint bad, no matter how disturbing or irritating the leadership is. That is why its AMERICA !!! The people rule here, and the power of the vote has its consequences. So far so good, the people have spoken, they have seen it, whether its been deception or outright lies, the people are full of it, and they want change. That is how a TRUE democracy works. No ifs or buts. Ballots in America do not lie !!
This election had one of the lowest voter turnouts in recent history, it's results are meaningless in determining what the American people truly want. Ballots do lie when a very small part of the country votes.

If anything this actually backfires on your point there cool, as in the "supporters" don't believe the mid terms are important enough to warrant a visit to the polls. If it wasn't so important then why were the lines so long at the majority of early voting sites in my area at least. Granted we had one the most hotly contested Senate races here in NC where Obama actually stepped behind Kay Hagan to try and help her hold onto her seat. Granted many of the Dem's didn't want to be associated with him and wanted to state that they didn't believe in "his" agenda when pressed on it.
The liberal/socialist agenda that was driving the country had a lot to be wrong. Do you realize if you earn over 250k you pick up additional taxes, and in the even that you are a business owner, the ACA kicks in and can potentially lead to even more taxes and fees that you are responsible. Before I hear the BS of if you earn that much you should pay your fair share. Well think about it like this. There is a great reason to have business owner X to not expand operations and higher more employees....why because it exposes him to more and more taxes and potential lower profits. Think about that....why "grow" my business if it means I will make less money. Doesn't make much sense does it. But that's exactly where we are right now. Now am I in that income bracket....no I'm not, but wish I was. But at same point, I can't believe I will have to think about do I really want to grow to a point to where I'm at an effective tax bracket over 50%.
Another way the ACA is hurting Americans is the fact that employers are now hiring more part time people and not full time...why, not out of greed, but business decisions. Its a matter of survival. Makes a big difference when you have things that HAVE to be done as opposed to employer choices. I met a lady at a recent Chamber of Commerce meeting....she used to provide employer paid medical insurance. Was it the best coverage in the world, no, but she provided it. It didn't conform and she had to remove that from being offered to her employees. She gave them a bump in what they were making, but now they can't come close to getting some of that basic coverage that was provided in the past. These stories dont make much of the news because they go against the narrative. But what I'm telling you is completely true. And this coming from a guy that can sell ACA insurance and make money off of it. I like it personally, but for the company as a whole, I hate it.

I agree with you on that some of his supporters didn't come out and vote when they should have. The Democrats had a shitty strategy this year. Distancing themselves from Obama didn't really work out. I'm pretty positive that they would have kept more seats if they didn't pussy out and run away from Obama when there is nothing to be ashamed of. Even Mitt Romney said that they should have been proud. I'm not too sad that some of these people are gone. We don't need people like Mary Landrieu.
