Because there's some problem with the movement. Movement was claimed as Swiss ETA 2892 from the factory but somehow ended up with Asian clones. Our cost of getting it was too high as the watch is wholesaling as swiss version while in reality, it's not.

well it wouldn't be the first time a dealer offered a watch that they couldn't get or was oos....

what happened is pretty obvious, swiped all the pics, even for the watches he couldn't get....

but what is wrong, the mods decided on saturday, that as long as the stolen pics were removed that everything was kosher??? not saying I agree but that was the ruling.

how do we know he doesn't have the watch? has anybody tried to buy it?

He lists it as 'out of stock' on his website, Josh is saying its 'out of stock' because B9 cannnot get it in the first place.

If I may, I'd just like to give a quick 2 cents about this whole situation. I admit I'm somewhat of a noob but by now I've purchased a few watches from a variety of dealers. I can honestly and truly say that Andrews service is by far (bar maybe puretime) the best. His manners, enthusiasm to help and general level of service was just amazing, and at considerable expense to himself I might add. Anyone that deals in this business knows what I mean. I understand the questions about "little white lies" and its a fair point, but personally I get the feeling we as a community are kinda rounding up on two of the best dealers we have, and almost running to defend a brand new dealer who starts off by stealing pics. Brand9avenue could well be a revelation, but from where Im standing, they're attempt to break the "monopoly" is not yielding significant price reductions yet, and the stolen pics is just kinda lousy.

I sent paypal payment today for the PO listed on their forum. Kevin sent an PM stating that it would ship out of California and not out of China as everything is on hold there for a couple of weeks.

I'll post when the watch arrives and give a review. SO far, so good. Prompt reply to PMs and paypal invoice sent.

this is sorta like for years venus copy was called lemania..

nobody died, nobody complained.. watches worked fine, for some reason...

then, we found out how ignorant we all have been.. in spite of the fact that

pictures of the venus/lemania are and have been everywhere...

thank god the cavalry is saving us from calvary!

there is far more going on behind the scenes than many might believe.. and

not to leave out the two most important factors of all.. service, and the quality of

watchy... maybe even the third issue of price..

The stealing pics is for dealers to fight over. As many of these watches are sourced (probably) from the same place, who F'n cares as a consumer? I care about the watch not the pictures. Let the dealers figure it out. Much priceing is the same, with two in perticular. I'm ready for some competition just like the real world. Not a bad thing guys. Just think MAYBE this Brand9 JUST steals pics.
