Hey guys, so long overdue update on strap situation. In our drive to make the strap as thin as possible, preferably it should continue the case profile just like the bracelet does. One way would be to use metal but it is just unfeasible. You'd need moq of at least 1000 pieces to start such a project and it would take even longer so we went for composite plastics. Unfortunately the available material would not offer enough stability given the small thickness so we had to find something stronger and we did find it. It took some time of course and covid doesn't help too, with shipping and handling being slow everywhere.

No long story short. We got the needed plastic. The inserts should be ready in a couple of days and we start on the strap. Stay tuned

Thanks for update, really appreciate your effort.

I asked my watchmaker to grease the rotor. When he put the rotor in his liquid (not sure what it is), the letters just removed :D Now I'm thinking about engrave something personally in the rotor :D

Hi, I have also issue with rotor, need to lube I guess, but I don't want letters to "disappear". Did you do it for noise or something worse?. My watch simply stops.

If the watch stops, rotor may not be the issue. Have it checked by your watchmaker!

I approved this QC sample, but I'm really disappointed with how soft the edges are on the bezel shape. It seems like all the pics in this thread have much sharper edges on theirs. I'm assuming the machining must have changed.

I did it for noise however the watchmaker accidentally put whole rotor in the liquid therefore the letters just fall out =)) I think you will be ok if you ask the watchmaker just to remove the rotor and grease the rotor, not dip the rotor into any liquid.
Anyway, If your watch is simply stop, I think the issue is not come from rotor, maybe a gear gets stuck.

It stops during night beacuse, so to say it doesn't charge sufficiently, i think and hope is because of the friction

I will for sure, but I guess is the friction of the rotor (it desn'charge sufficiently). The more I am wearing the better is getting. This morning it is "alive" :)

Maybe looking for a watch winder is your solution as this watch has unidirectional rotor I believe which is harder to wind up the movement

That does look a little blunt, the gen is quite "sharp" and should only be very slightly rounded.

Quite rounded compared to mine also. FWIW it's a stunning watch. Rounded gears or not.

Great pic and nice watch, everything is perfect, except the cross. What I'd like to know is if the flat cross is noticible from a distance? Gen is noticably more rounded and 3d.

Not noticeable at all on the wrist. And much has been said about the cross, most of it wrong. I even posted a macro shot of my own gen vacheron dial to try and put this issue to bed.

Awesome! Definitely count me in for one as well when it’s ready!

After receiving my 2000v the other day I am also disappointed in the bracelet feel... Definitely feels light, flimsy and sharp edges. Has anyone smoothed the bracelet out or have anyone to refer that could clean it up?
