Brand new on the AP scene. From what I can tell ZF seems to the be the fans fav, but people prefer the XF hands.

Are there any other makers out there to consider?

Also what’s the difference between to 15500 and the 15202z they look identical to me.

Edit: ahh I see the size is different.
The movement seems to look better to me on the 15202.

I have just shortend the bracelet and I am absolutely stunned by this watch. Fill up your shopping carts guys. I have to honestly admit seeing that piece in real life is a complete different story. The watch is so little and the details cant be seen with the naked eye.

Here is some canday.

The gen 15500 and the 15202 have a lot more differences besides size. The caliber, dial, hands, datewheel, thickness, bracelet are all different.

+1

Moreover, the different dimension changes completely the proportions of the bezel / case / lungs, making, at least to my eyes, the 15500 much sportier

I agree that compared with the 15202 and 15400, the 15500 is the brash big brother of Royal Oaks, and the sportiest member of the family. It took time for the watch to grow on some, but I took an instant liking to it. The cleaner dial, date window position and date font, shorter dial markers and the hands make the watch look and feel very contemporary on the wrist, and IMO the best royal oak out there. Of course I know that this is subjective, and the fans of the 15400 and 15202 will disagree with me lol, but like I told C Master today, the heart always knows what it wants. I will never be a 15202 guy, especially after witnessing how frail the watch can be. A friend of mine dislodged the stem when collecting his 15202 at the boutique early this year (he was handling it normally), and the moment was awkward for the boutique staff to say the least.

There isn't.

You basically advance the hands until the date flips. Then you turn the hands back to 8 o'clock and then forward again till it flips. Do this until you reach the correct date.
This is one reason I never considered the gen 15202 for myself. The movement is outdated in terms of functionality, the watch is relatively delicate and its a piece for collection rather than daily functionality IMHO.

You got lobang from AD ah? You don’t want, I want.

The date change procedure of the rep 15202, although gen-like, is something I wish the makers omitted. A bit of advice to those contemplating buying a plated version of the rep 15202, when changing the date keep your fingers from rubbing against the case. After awhile the plating will rub off if care is not given when changing the date. I learned this the hard way with my Russian made rose gold plated Vostok, which has the same date changing procedure as the 15202.

Yes I agree. It’s a situation whereby AP should consider updating the 15202 movement instead of retaining the cal.2121 to maintain the thin profile of the watch. If thinness is the end goal, AP can consider going the route of the Bvlgari Octo Finissimo (5.15mm) and dispensing with the date totally.
But to retain a date function and a burdensome way of changing it seems to be counter-productive where horological progress is concerned.
I understand the historical significance of the 15202 but like the 26237st Beast, the modern release can be a nod to the historical model instead of being a mostly unchanged re-issue.

Hi, my AP 15202 XF V2 got seized on the shipping. Anyone know the risk I can have and what should I do. Thanks you a lot I need help and I'm scared as fuck... I got other's watch on other's shipping and I hope they aren't seized. I buy them for myself only..

Edit : They ask for commercial invoice with a detailed description of the items, the value, the country of origin of the effects, proof of payment - paypal, credit card. Also a piece of identification, then your certificates of authenticity.

Seems like your watch has been held for the customs clearance procedure and it haven't been seized yet. It totally depends on the qualifications/mood/fight with his wife/Coffee of the day for the customs officer who is particularly dealing with that package. If they are asking for a proof, means they want to get some money as an additional pay interms of inbound VAT.. You can make a choice to provide those details or just ignore the notice(if you are ok with the loss). Worst case scenario is they shall destroy the watch or return to the sender. Being scared doesn't make you any better

How did this go? Did you get your watch in the end or you forfeited it?

Couldn't get. They need my card ID, a certificate of authenticity that it is a real one and a proof that I paid, the price I paid, etc. (Lot of information I can't give). I only gave the fake receipt (trusted dealer gave me) that it was a bracelet for 28$ USD.

Well I'm waiting and they will seize it. For now it is still at clearance event.

Edit : once it is seized, I give the letter they're going to send (proof that it is seized) to my trusted dealer and they will send another watch.

Yes eventually this is all that matters. All the best.
