XF 15202ST V2 First Impressions

I’m new to AP’s so please forgive the ignorance of the question, but could a bracelet off a JF 15400 fit on the 15202, or is it too wide?

nope, these two watches are two completely different design... nothing compatible from one to the other.
BTW, the 15400 bracelet is a lot thicker than the 15202...

How is the thickness of this rep comparing to gen? It seems like 8.5 mm vs 8.1 mm but why it's still looks difference in photo. Is actual thickness of gen 15202 less than 8.1?

Gen thickness is 8.1mm, XF is 8.5, on the wrist the 0.4mm is honestly not noticeable at all. Feels excellent.

There are several 2121 movements for sale on 3rd party platforms. Anyone thinking of putting the gen movement into the XF case?

The idea of putting a gen movement into a rep has baffled me forever when it comes to high end pieces like AP and PP. Where does one even acquire such a thing? ????

The 15400 I believe is 2mm wider than the 15202. Definitely noticeable on the wrist.

Gen thickness is 8.1mm, XF is 8.5, on the wrist the 0.4mm is honestly not noticeable at all. Feels excellent.

Have you measured XF V2 thickness with calipers? Im wondering if the V2 is 8.2mm or 8.5mm.

doesn't matter if it is 8.2 or 8.5 this is nitpicking as you won't ever see the difference without a caliber ;-)

It is definitely 8.5, I have checked. Speaking to the team at InTime, it is impossible to get 8.2 thickness without going quartz... at least for now, hopefully a future version will hit the mark.

It most certainly isn't impossible, but I agree that 0.2 millimetres is nothing to lose sleep over.

Yeah I'd be curious to try another to compare. My collection is pretty varied, and I have everything from a gen sub to the bulova super seville day-date homage to a couple reps. My vsf omega planet ocean bracelet is incredible, and I would easily compare it to my rolex. The sharp edges on the XF AP give it a comfort level below my 40 year old bulova. once its on its on the wrist its fine, and I havn't caught any arm hairs in it yet, but it does not feel refined at all. I'm tempted to try hand sanding it down a little just to round the inner edges

Its a fantasy watch anyways (Gen is WG). I am still going to order the "shade of salmon" watch :cheerleader: Lets just say, its a unique color that you don't come across everyday.
