Hello and WELCOME from the official RWI reception desk!

You are receiving this introduction because you either posted in the "new members say hi" section or —for the first time(s)— elsewhere. In the latter case, consider introducing yourself in the aforementioned section.

If you haven't already, please make sure to read all relevant sticky threads. They contain important and essential information such as the forum rules! Most importantly the sales rules, because you will NOT yet be eligible / allowed to sell unless you meet certain criteria / are certified first.

A good starting point is this list of resources on RWI:

Please also take another look at this important sticky that you should already have seen after logging on for the first time:

This quick anti-fraud guide is essential if you are about to order from a dealer for the first time:

If you need any further assistance, feel free to contact me or @Feefo!

We will gladly help, but please allow some time for PM responses as we have lifes outside of RWI!

Oh okay that makes sense thank you.

Now this might be a harder to answer question but I joined looking to buy a used omega dsotm rep. Any idea how often those come up/how hard they are to come by?

Unfortunately all Speedmaster reps have obvious flaws / tells.

If that doesn't bother you, buying a pre-owned Speedmaster rep is as easy as buying any other rep. Use the links I posted to learn about the process via M2M...

Oh yeah I know that. Just obsessed with the look so I don’t care about the flaws.

I know how to order, but 640 usd to cad is steep for a rep which as you said had a lot of flaws. So hoping to find a used one instead I guess

Listen to eBoy and do the required readings. Don't skip out on them.

Once you're done with those, I'll start you off with this lovely thread by CF

I think I’ll be fine with the issues.

I actually have a nickel allergy that reacts with stainless steel and having the ceramic + glass will be cool and will not be spending 12k new anytime.

I may just buy from a TD but the idea of saving some money buying used is just a lot more appealing

Unfortunately, you're beginning to learn something.

If it ain't Rolex, it ain't popular.

Models like that often never come up for sale on M2M, simply because not too many people own them. If they own one, it's because they like it, which means they'll probably not sell one off.

I would wait a month and look at M2M every day. If a month passes by you haven't seen any then yeah shoot on the TD. Patience is a virtue.

Yeah that makes sense and kind of what I gathered from my research before posting.

There is one in wts but quite the right one. Patience is good I guess lol.

Is it worth it to do whatever you have to do to post in wtb you think?

Eh. The W2B is not a guarantee of success.

Whatever you do however, do not accept random messages from strangers/uncertified/low post count members offering you one. It's mostly likely a scam.
