Sombra, did you get that authenicated? The weight is off, I don't believe that date wheel is correct either. I don't know. Plus, the value of this watch, if it was gen would be much much much higher than a pt cruiser.

Yes guys .i decide to trade my 2008 pt cruiser low miles great condition for this 18kt rolex day date quick set with diamonds & rubies .
how crazy is that ?
my wife is angry and she said am loosing my mind since i join this forum
:hehehe:
would any of you do the same if you get in love with a gen and have a change to trade it for your car ?:p
That would obviously sound ridiculous to her, so I won't blame her. On paper, that's crazy but when you have a passion for something you'll do anything out of the norm I guess. Just be ready for one thing she would keep reminding you and would use it against you often , she would never forget haha. If you're ready for that, that's cool. You would obviously have compensate her big time for her not to bring it up anymore but I doubt that will work lol. Good Luck

I would. My car is probably worth $15,000 USD and I would swap for Rolex calendar star dial

From my point of view, especially if the OP is a jeweller, this sounds low risk providing the watch is real.

He has item X, which is worth less than item Y, but someone is happy to do a straight trade. I'd bite their hand off! No, the watch isn't to my taste, but if the deal is good and checks out, the OP is in a great place to make a few bucks if he wants to, or have an asset which will appreciate more than his car.

Again guy's ,not trying to impress anyone ,am just sharing!

If the OP is really a jeweler, he should know the weight of a full gold Rolex. Sounds more like Chumley on Pawn Stars.

BTW, on several web sites I found the correct weight to be 178gms.
