Yeah, not for me on this particular PAM, but can be OK on the moder modern / divers'

No way in HELL the Pam SS bracelets are the tackiest looking things on the planet, just AWEFUL!!

I'm just not felling it guys its still a yuck for me. I've given this thread about a week and I still don't see the appeal. I love stainless just not on the PAM.

I felt the same exact way. I said "NO WAY" would I ever stick a chunk of metal on the sides of my Pam, but the 111 I bought from TTK had the wrong 'ONE' on the dial, so Neil sent another 111 along for me to swap out the dials and return the bad one dial watch to him. I bought at least a half a dozen straps from Elliot, MF, Don and more because I thought the only way to go on this 111 was Leather. Then the replacement watch showed up with a SS band. I tried it on and within seconds I changed my mind. I know exactly how you feel, but until you slide it on and see it on your wrist, you just don't know

My 196 was on black leather and now mainly sports the SS band. Personally, I prefer metal bands. Although I do swap back and forth on a number of watches just to mix things up a bit.
I have a PAM 005 with SS band and I think it's beautiful. Quite heavy and very masculine looking. Love that watch! (But leather strap is cool too.)

The thing I like about watches is what I like about watches. I have friends that hate some of my favorite watches but if I enjoy it so what.
If you like the look go for it.

I just think that we are so used to seeing Pams with leather straps, that the thought of S/S on a 111 just doesn't make sense, perhaps until you see one.
On the other side of the coin, I had the same thoughts about Daytonas with leather straps until I actually saw one. Now I think a gold Daytona on a leather strap is a great look.

Well, I can safely say that after all these posts and pics, I really like my 111h on SS. Ok, it's not for the Panerai purists, but looks and feels good on my wrist IMO.
