The 'simple' act of rehaut polishing.

I think one of the best decisions once an Xtal is off the case, is to lightly polish the rehaut. All the replicas come with a heavy brushing, but with a careful hand this can be taken back a bit.

The result is a more gen-like semi polished surface.

Breakfast at Tiffany's.

As this came in for a beautiful dial chance in Tiffany's blue, we discovered the movement to be an SA time-bomb which chewed its own gears when adjusting the time.

A movement upgrade to a no date VR was done but these things are never plug and play - dial feet had to be cut, a new movement ring 3D printed and hands adjusted for the new movement.

Happy results.

Vintage beauty.

I always enjoy finishing a good looking project - full Vietnam with a vintage low beat 2783.

A bit of work on the 702 Athaya tube to make it fit the case flush (don't like drilling cases), and a complete modification on the rehaut as it was crated in two steps.
