Why some people don’t reply the posts?

I read this thread from page one, post one and stopped there. My parents taught me, that it's a dangerous thing to speak an opinion if you don't know the whole story. Ale, if I don't have anything nice, constructive or meaningful to say with regard to topic, I will give you the gift of silence. Believe me, you are much better off without my bull shit. ;)

Respectfully,

Rob

:rotors:

Then don't create them. Just saying........

Look ALE, we all have old posts that a buddy will dig up just to razz us. No harm was intended.

Just read this thread for the first time, don't get the point at all.

ALE is asking for some courtesy from members who post threads asking questions and get replies.

I don't expect to get any thanks, if I do get them, it's appreciated. I'm just satisfied with the belief that I helped someone out. But that's just me. :D

We all like common courtesy. Not often do we get it, that's just a fact of modern life. A sad fact of modern life! Manners cost nothing. Please and thank you go a long way. Sadly those words are seldom these days.

That was the point of my reply.

I understand what ALE is saying. If a guy asks a question or for help, and you help him, the guy should at least post a thank you.

Look at trk's example. He took a watch apat, then posted 25 pics all to help. The rube never replied. I mean, WTH?

Give much and expect little is a realistic mantra for any forum and how about the thousands that read and never post at all.

Ale is one of the most prolific contributors here. It takes a lot of time, effort and research to produce some of the threads he does. There may be a few that are foreign to common courtesy, but the rest of us say thanks, to anyone who sticks his neck out to help another member.

I only read this thread today. It clearly touches points I have described in the Reject's Journal.
Wasting other people's time can be fun. Try. Ask somebody a question and then don't listen. It's hilarious.
And manners do cost. They cost time. Also don't forget that in a rat's mind being helpful and polite can look like a sign of weakness. They hardly think of politeness and manners as values. Some pillocks still think of rudeness as being somewhat cool, they try to build their character's charisma on that junk.
They value their own time higher than yours, that's why they don't thank you for your help or even reply at all.
You can't force an idiot to be friendly or polite. Being an asshole is a civil right. Just don't give any nitwits a second chance to waste your time.
And don't offer explanations. You don't have to explain why an asshole is unpleasant, we all know already.

Ah so it was a manners approach, quite feckin' true and so I am guilty of such lack of manners.

Members,

I write to you to express my gratitude. I have been a lurker here and then decided to forcefully chime in even if it was to post whore. Through the process of trying to belong and become somewhat of an ass-et (lol), I have learned and made friends here that are more genuine than people I have met face to face. Even so, we all know that manners go a long way or smiles as we know having the world's vault of 'em gives you instant mod powers  Yet I too have seldom asked a question but when I have, I failed to thank the participants. I have no excuse except for the fact that I did not think that an actual written thank you was needed. I participate and after doing so I don't necessarily hope for or revisit a thread for a thank you. There is instances like the justin beaver lover mod going above and beyond that an actual written thank you is warranted. However, most questions that are more or less more common and require a simple one minute post seem a little excessive to thank, but I understand the manners side of it.

In closing I thank you all for taking the time to answer questions that range in topics and degrees, after all this is a forum and that's what we do: participate and engage in discussions. If a member does not thank you, perhaps it's not rudeness but how many thank you posts can you take before it becomes a broken record, meaningless and hypocritical?... I don't expect a thank you after every single post I submit.

Cliff notes: On behalf of all of us that have failed to thank those that have thoughtfully answered questions... this bud's for you! (budlight beer reference before it gets taken out of context)

At the end of the day even if the OP of the threads dont reply, others get the benefit of the Knowledge that is being passed around. Thats what this community is about. If some tard sees that as weakness who cares? They tend not to last long here so really its no skin off our noses if they dont reply. :D
