Why do so many people love PAMs?

You don't need OEM straps for Pam, do a google search on "Panerai strap" and you can find tons of aftermarket strap maker with price ranging from $40 to a couple of hundreds. This is what makes it so special, I can't think of any other watch brand that have anyone changing their strap as often as Pam........

I'm sure the 40 dollar straps are the same quality the reps come with and from the pics I've seen there not very good, to me that's a dead give away of a fake watch. A 5k watch with shitty leather strap? But everyone takes there flaws how they want if you can live with it do it my dude. You don't need a eom strap but a good quality leather strap I've seen for upwards of 80 and up per strap

I agree with OP, doesn't look very appealing on pictures online. Went to an AD a while ago and saw one. Mind was blown, they look so amazing in real! Ordered a PAM390 next day. Can't wait to wear it!

Put anything made by Donerix on any Pam and not only will it look amazing but it will be extremely comfortable as well.

Not really, Getat and Panatime do have strap in those price range. Of course they are not the best or anywhere near it but they can at least consider to be decent quality strap and definitely it is better quality than those crappy rep strap.

Best strap for the price is HANDS DOWN BJ Straps. Handmade in USA for very decent prices. And they shit on any Panatime strap I've seen.

I have to say I thought all Pam's looked the same. Then I got a good deal on a 111. Every day I wear it someone comments on how nice my watch looks. I can't say that about any of my other watches. But not all Pam's are equal. I have a lower quality homage that I like but it is not even close to the quality of my 111. All I can say is get a nice one and you will see what people love about them.

Makers are pumping out pams, we buy them they pump out more. Ap diver v22.5 is same way.




I thought pams looked like a kid drew the numbers, i bought one on a whim, and now love em. It's worth buying ome to at least check out.

I'm in nyc, pams are becoming ubiquitous. At the giants pitiful game, (sitting in the lexus club), probably saw a dozen pams.


I love my 380, and my 292j, 243, 417, vac 111v3 with incabloc mod, 372, 088, 187, kampfswhimmer 3464, 390, and 127 with wso crystal....


I started out trying an 088 to see what all the fuss was about and ended up with the above. I woukd love a good 360, but they just cant see, to get that one right.


Itching fort hat 388 but waiting for lug fixes, oh and the new 47mm submersible when that thing comes out.


I had the 288, but that one didnt sing to me,

No. Sometimes it's a following the idols - Stallone, Statham, Ahnuld, Clinton, etc.
Sometimes people just like to wear big shiny chunk of the steel. Look at me!!!

Fascinating with design? 3-4 different cases type, that's it. And countless variations of small differences in dials - with pig, without pig, sausage, sandwich. Sure, there's 5-8 PAMs, that have distinct differences, but rest - all the same.

I thought the same thing when I joined the forum. Bought a crazy tony special 320 and really enjoyed the watch.

So much so I started working leather to make my own straps.

I don't have many, but I enjoy the few I have and love changing the straps depending on my mood.
