WHO IS BANNED AT RG OVER THIS JANDREW SITUATION?

I suppose to get banned at RG, One would actually have to visit RG?...
I try to keep my appearances there as brief as possible... ususally just perusing the "For Sale" thread to see whats avail that isn't posted here or at RWG2

They are probably watching the discussion over here to get an lead on who to ban....I did not post anything there in the last little while...But...
I just found out that my account is disabled...Not banned...I can still log on but cannot access anything except Sylar's announcement... :?

Haven't even posted on their site in the past few monthes... Yet I was banned. Nice. I guess I made the correct decision to not support them financially with a VIP upgrade.
I just found out I was banned at RG...I have only been on a few weeks and gave them money for support. just been readind...no posts as yet.

What does this tell you? I have much affection for this forum, as there are some great individuals here, and judging the actions of others relative to my own experience, I must say that the watch dealers in question have done fine by me and many others I communicate with. I asked Andrew how he felt about this situation, and he said that on one hand he finds it unfortunate, and the other hand, he could give a rip. He stated that the present staff are childish and that it has no effect on him at all. Let me make claer, this what was expressed to me and seems to be the only response so far to the decision here to ban Trusty Time and Perfect Clones. I wish that everyone take a step back and not be so eager to chastise and condemn two merchants who have brought much enjoyment to myself and many others.
For me, the level of service is equal to the quality of the merchandise. I truily do not mind paying a bit more for good service. That means that if my watch has arrived defective, seized by customs, or eaten by Godzilla. If the mercvhant makes good on it then I am fine and happy. I have never experienced less than this with J and A, and it seems to me that those who run into trouble are the ones that become hostile right off the bat when something goes wrong, and post harmful threads without any form of resolution.
Living in Las Vegas for ten years has taught me much. There are so many out there who expect something for nothing.
You get what you pay for period. End of story.

So Hambone,you like paying more? You like the idea that he is price gouging? Did you pay for the waterproofing service?

This decision wasn't about "How can we screw Josh and Andrew?" I've bought a couple of watches from Josh and never had any issues with the service I received. I don't mind paying a couple of bucks extra for good email communication and prompt tracking #s, either. I *do* mind a set of dealers attempting to manipulate what other dealers charge and threatening to interrupt their supply of watches if they don't comply.
Also, in a fair amount of documented cases with the Cartel, you did NOT get what you paid for. Let's be honest about that. :shock:
This decision was based SOLELY on doing what we, as a staff, thought was best for our membership -- and the entire rep community, in our collective opinion. If the staff from other fora don't agree, it's their sandbox they can line the toys up however they want.
The same goes with individual members, once you have "the big picture" if you choose to still buy from the Cartel, good for you. I won't, and I won't allow the Cartel to be shown as endorsed dealers here so long as I am on staff, simply because I think the way they *choose* to do business is bad for the customer.
As for Andrew's opinion of the staff? I am wholly unsurprised. Also, since Andrew is no longer a dealer here, I absolutely couldn't care less.

Member request? That is what my banning says. That is just more of James' cowardice. He has the balls to ban you but not the balls to take the responsibility for it.

I'm still very curious as to the supposed or real reason for my removal.
Now the waiting game begins.
I'd done my best to stay impartial in this matter, I know each forum has its own leaders and mod/admin team that have decided on what direction they wish to move their community and that is fine. As a result of that, I made the conscious decision to *NOT* stir the pot at RG over the entire Josh and Andrew saga, the resulting thread censorship. I also decided to *not* bring any drama over for banning of members for whatever reason... Now it would seem that I am banned by RG simply because I'm an RWI member that read this thread and tossed my .02euros (cents ain't worth squat) in here... That to me is a bit much.
Personally, I like how RWG2 is handling the issue... they are closing threads at this time. BUT, they are explaining that the matter is central to RWI and linking back to the appropriate threads and suggesting that the discussion continue here. I'm fine with that, infact to keep drama located in one forum is probably for the best. RWG2 isn't trying to hide the issue, but they also are keeping their forum drama free... works for me.
Heck, If you look back through the entire set of Josh and Andrew threads you'll find that I never posted anything that would rock the boat at the geeks... I've dealt with both Josh and Andrew and found their service to be top notch. It was after the "Cartel" thread at RWG2 that I made the decision to seek other dealers, I've never bad-mouthed any dealer for anything un-warranted. (My appologies to TWP, but you screwed me.) I don't recall ever breaking out the pitchforks, hanging ropes and fire-brands on RG, but perhaps my mere presence on their forum is too much of a "flamewar".
Ah well... banned there = more time to annoy you guys and also to work on Two-Tones nerves over on RWG2. [smilie=cussing.gif]
Just to add another to the list. I was banned from Repgeek last night for no reason. I have not posted on the site in months, I was banned for simply posting in this thread...
I wouldn't be suprised if the whole membership is composed of people who joined less than one month ago and the brainwashed regulars within the next week.
