So
OK so i've read your posts and without being rude you have thrown your toys out of the pram .It is funny you should mention Amazon . You're a new member, and by your own admission new to reps thus just don't understand how this works . One thing this isn't is Amazon ! The new members see the Reddit discussions ,the professional websites , and imagine offices with a sales team , signed factories , stockrooms , DHL vans buzzing in and out all day . That isn't how this works , despite the improvement of rep watches , due to improved CNC/tooling , improved RD etc this is still an illicit, underground and illegal business. The dealers don't hold stock ( some a little) , they don't visit the factories directly , they don't have offices, or stock rooms . For many of them this isn't there only source of income , they may have other jobs , and work from home . When they receive your order they are aware of which watches are available , and will visit a watch market ( another dealer) to collect your watch . They may take your order though and find there is a delay in sourcing the watch . They will use third parties for payments paypal, WU ,crypto etc they will swap these out from time to time . They will be charged extra fees/poor conversion rates by their card providers who are aware of the nature of the business .They will use third parties to send parcels , maybe a legitimate company with a reason to send out parcels, or individuals who they will change to avoid uneccessary attention . There is no factory with CF on the side , or a massive office block with Puretime or Hont Watch full of staff .
In your case you were unlucky the watch you ordered was in production but not available , that's how it goes sometimes .The factory may have been waiting for gaskets, or crystals , dials etc to be made from a third party supplier . The factories you see on websites don't manufacture the whole watch , they are assembly lines . They are reliant on other other production facilities who will supply the constituent parts .The dealer doesn't know with 100% certainty he can get the watch immediately . If Hont can't get you the watch , then neither can another TD . Again they may have another job ( i don't deal with Hont ), have lots of customers chasing watches and orders to fulfill . Most are one man bands , and English won't be their first language . If the watch isn't available it becomes a waiting game .This was then exasperated by CNY ( you don't care about holidays ) this is a total 2 week shut down which means even fake watch factories aren't working . So the TD apologised for the watch not being available , and informed you that CNY meant it would be at least another 15-20 to days before he could get the watch and provide QC pics ( this is a guess) . Yet only eight days later you began requesting updates . You were just unlucky ! Sometimes you will order a watch , the dealer will source it immediately , you will get the QC pics the next day and have it in your hand within the week . Other times you need lots of patience , watches become unavailable , holidays happen, watches get stuck in customs , postal strikes happen , factories get raided by the police , bad weather strikes etc etc and it will take say 2-3 months to get your watch . If haven't got the patience to just relax and let the process take place , then you're correct this isn't for you .
