One caveat is that this watch came from m2m, meaning that somebody else purchased it first and used it so that I knew that the chronograph and seconds at 6 worked. I do believe that the previous owner had to send the watch back for repair due to a defective movement, but I am uncertain of the original defect.

Well maybe not that one exactly, but there are plenty of Portofinos from which to choose... Just something about the simplicity of the case and dial...

Almost 3 years old 3714-31 supposedly time bomb still running strong :)

Looking good as ever. How come they could apply the numerals without be crooked on these dials and not on the 5001's (mainly ZF)!!

Excellent question! After giving a second look at my watch, I think I found part of the answer. I think that our quality expectations are now a bit higher than they used to be. I never noticed that my 11 and my 4 markers were crooked until today! We are maybe focusing more on alignment of markers because of the numerous discussions to that matter on the forums.

Look at perfection long enough and you will find some defects....
