haha sorry to disappoint you, but the 195 reps are pretty hard to come by, as far as i know only Davidsen (DSN) makes them (anyone please feel free to correct me if i'm wrong about this), as the 195 was a VERY special edition only given out to 200 special members of paneristi.com, each watch having the name of the member engraved on the caseback. check out this page: http://www.paneraisource.com/watch_details/Special_227.html

having said that, one of the members over at repgeek has one that was made by dsn, and had a caseback specially made for him by another member there. it's on this thread: http://www.repgeek.com/showthread.php?t=236280

there are super reps of both the 005/318 though, and available from most TDs here.

hahaha saying that, even if i would have wore the 195 or 318 (as i read from Ale's guide the 318 also very limited), ppl will find it hard to believe that i actually have the gen 195/318 on my wrist lol..

so i guess best bet is the 005 yeah :D

haha mate to be honest 318 is still relatively believable, at least more believable than the 195. it's limited to 150 pieces but who's to say you weren't one of the lucky few who managed to get it from the NY boutique, or second hand, vs one of 200 elite members of paneristi.com, each with their name engraved on the watch which i reckon they'd be crazy to sell. so in all honesty the 005/318 is fine. the 195 is a beautiful watch but apart from the back name engraving, the quality is probably nowhere near "super rep" as compared to the 005/318

oh and for the record, i myself have a noob005, but mostly because i bought it off m2m here for a good deal and a local seller too. either way you can't go wrong, both super reps according to Ale's guide :)

Grazie BB. Now a lot of ink has been put down over these crownguards on gen and rep-forums. From what I´ve read and put together the gen was definitely produced with cg-levers facing up and facing down.
You will be surprised by the picture results of a google-search for “pam 203historic model”

While the historic pre-vêndome models had downfacing cg´s my favourite story is that it is believed, after its initial production, that an error had occurred with the position of the crown guard. Some reports are, that it was considered that the particular historic watch it was based on, may have had its crown guard inadvertently refitted the wrong way by a watchmaker during one of its many tear-down services during its 50 years of service. Curiously this would mean that the REG TM printing was also supposed to be on the backside - and the front clean. Same goes for the 127.
With the new 590 they chose the downfacing CG-Lever with no TM inscription at all ,which imo gives credibility to this story as well.

in fact there are so many You could think it was only made this way - or all gen-owners having it this way are selling it for what they read - lol:

Hi mate.

So if they say a lot about this particular watch and also very expensive.
My belief was that he had only the CG upwards.
However, I consider it a watch formidable..e who owns it as rep, has excellent taste.
 very nice your pic.
