About the Pam 203 if I remember correctly the CG on Gen is facing up. Or am I wrong?

Grazie BB. Now a lot of ink has been put down over these crownguards on gen and rep-forums. From what I´ve read and put together the gen was definitely produced with cg-levers facing up and facing down.
You will be surprised by the picture results of a google-search for “pam 203historic model”
While the historic pre-vêndome models had downfacing cg´s my favourite story is that it is believed, after its initial production, that an error had occurred with the position of the crown guard. Some reports are, that it was considered that the particular historic watch it was based on, may have had its crown guard inadvertently refitted the wrong way by a watchmaker during one of its many tear-down services during its 50 years of service. Curiously this would mean that the REG TM printing was also supposed to be on the backside - and the front clean. Same goes for the 127.
With the new 590 they chose the downfacing CG-Lever with no TM inscription at all ,which imo gives credibility to this story as well.

Put this together overnight when I couldn't sleep. bigwaved did an awesome job on the dial. Need to get a replacement athaya crown and age the hands more though.

it's either the 005/318 mate. the dials of both 005/318 are the same, only difference is the 318 has an engraved caseback of the Brooklyn bridge as it's a special edition. the 195 is a pvd coated watch, and was a special paneristi edition. so definitely either 005/318.

by the way i was a little bit lost on all the short forms used like PVD or AR. i remember reading about a thread explaining all the short forms for reps.. cant find it now if any kind soul would lead me there..

haha sorry to disappoint you, but the 195 reps are pretty hard to come by, as far as i know only Davidsen (DSN) makes them (anyone please feel free to correct me if i'm wrong about this), as the 195 was a VERY special edition only given out to 200 special members of paneristi.com, each watch having the name of the member engraved on the caseback. check out this page: http://www.paneraisource.com/watch_details/Special_227.html
having said that, one of the members over at repgeek has one that was made by dsn, and had a caseback specially made for him by another member there. it's on this thread: http://www.repgeek.com/showthread.php?t=236280
there are super reps of both the 005/318 though, and available from most TDs here.
