You can bend the lugs downwards to make the strap sit closer to the case.
Be careful though because river's solder might fail and you could have to redo it.

Sorry, looks like Silix not River. The caveat is the same anyway :)

I love the 47mm Pams. Especially the Fiddy is very comfortable. My wrist is 18cm. It's not to big :-;
imo the subs or yachtmasters look a little bit to small for my wrist.
Waiting for the new Sea dweller with 43mm
