He wasn't informing you of the font update, he was demonstrating a timeline of his watch being obtained at a date further in the past from the update and thus he is very aware his font is not the updated one.

I was the one who brought this to the attention of the Consensual List (the best place for such information), where I did reference several threads and posts of which you were apart of, so yes indeed the entire forum should now be very aware the font is fixed and you chocolito were the one, even if you couldn't be arsed.

Then again I still see some current QC pics of the font spacing so apparently they are still being sold by at least one TD...but at least it's not noticable with the naked eye, as you say.

LoL wow buddy....no the implication was to the previous poster who mentioned the numerals that the font was the biggest fix over the less noticeable numeral.

It has been consistently said that the font was the only tell preventing SuperRep status, and now it appears the numeral also does.

I'd get the jf either way but glad they fixed the font and not waiting on the numeral.

Bear in mind I'm the poster who brought the font fix to the attention of the Consenual list, quoting all the various threads mentioning it, even your own post about not being arsed.

And no I'm not getting a Sub to wear at my job at McDonald's, I'm getting a Patel Nautilus to wear at my job washing dishes and bussing tables at Applebee's, thank you very much! ????????????

BTW since the definition of a "First Class" rep is "FIRST CLASS category are very good reps, very close to gen, but with one obvious tell for anyone knowing what to look for or with side by side comparison. ",

I'm not saying the JF V2 isn't a great rep, just that it would be nice if they would be 'arsed' to fix the numerals. LOL

If the Gen numeral '3' was a racetrack, you'd be pedal to the metal on that right side straightaway. Instant tell to someone who knows to look for it, and there are plenty of people outside of the rep world who would know.

They are genuine designs, just on the wrong period.

If someone mentioned either, one could say the prior owner informed it came back with a few updates from a service.
Based on some funky things I've read about services, that claim might be difficult to challenge.

On your pictures above I can see the font space from the zoomed out pic, but it's very difficult (for me) to see the numeral issue unless it's zoomed in.

Looking at the old threads, it seems most of the complaint was for the font, and just minor grumblings about the numerals.
It was also said several times that the font was the only thing keeping it from SuperRep status....I don't remember any mention of the numerals preventing SuperRep.

So, JF Factory listened...and only fixed the font. LoL oh well, next time! [h=2][/h]

The older numeral design on the model 14270 was on a 36mm watch. That model had no font spacing with Explorer written in the top text section of the dial.

The 214270 arrived in Basel 2010 with the new 39mm size and dial numerals. Originally on this model the numerals were not luminous and many complained that hands were not increased in size to go along with the larger dial and looked too short. Both these things were corrected in Basel 2016.

So, you would think that factories focused on copying something could figure out that the older style numerals never appeared on the larger size watch.

So while not exactly accurate (and therefore not passing the test for super rep IMO), the JF V2 is indeed a beautiful rep.
