I bought an explorer 5 months ago and it’s my daily watch . It’s very close to genuine the only thing you might be picky about is the font being to thin but anyway it’s only visible when you are looking very close . The steel band is spotless I never had a better one even if you compare with genuine omegas .
The movement is ticking no need to worry about repairs just be aware to not to bang the watch to much ;)

NO i didn't say they changed the font for me !! This is how people post the font problem E XPLOR E R ! I have checked and double checked the font on my watch XPLORER is definitely correct (to my eyes) .If there is a floating E as in E XPLORER it again isn't noticeable to MY eyes . I was also happy with my QC pics . I have already said , many of people who reject the watch because " they couldn't cope with the font " are quite happy to buy Submariners and colour the bezels in with pens .LOL

Hilarious bit about the pens coloring bezels!

I do however wish you could be 'arsed' with posting a pic of your flawless font as I would like to have one like that from JF if indeed it exists. It's neither rocket science nor skilled artisanship to take a closeup photo with a phone and post it here.

See?

So far I haven't seen a JF V2 without the font flaw, and the numeral '3' being too rounded on the right side. Those things matter to some.

Gen dial below shows some uneven spacing between the first two and last two letters of Explorer and the middle 4 letters which the factory apparently tried to copy. But the factory made the spacing too great and it catches the eye of a critic as a flaw.

Chap there is no need for me to post anything , there is currently another ( new) thread on this subject which should be easy for you to find . Someone has posted QC pics of a friends latest acquisition a V2 JF Explorer 1 . The poster like me thinks the font on the watch is correct , take a look and see what you think ? To my eyes , the posters , and other people on the thread the font reads EXPLORER and not E XPLOR ER or any other combination of the flaw which has become popular on here EX PLOR ER etc . Maybe though I need to get to Specsavers ? A fellow forum member asks "are you sure he didn't get a BP because the font looks correct "( he didn't it's a JF V2).

The thread is *** 214270 Explorer 1 without E X PLOR ER ***

On the more rounded 3 on right side , again not noticeable to my eyes when compared to the gen side by side . Maybe I need to artificially blow up my watch and harshly light it , in a macro picture to notice it ? Perhaps when I next wear the watch I shall wear a jewellers loupe and a flashlight attached to my wrist ?

Find the thread and check out the pictures see what YOU think of the font ?? They are QC pics , so better than anything I can take and post.

The OP asked what is the best version of the Explorer 1 and the answer is hands down the JF V2 214270 .Also my opinion ( liike arseholes we all have them ) remains the same , to any of these posters ( always new ) looking for the ' most genuine looking Rolex that nobody will call out ' . That is to forget Subs ,DJ's etc , even the Arf SD 43 v2 and go for either the JF Explorer 1 V2 or the JF OP red grape .

I just saw someone asking another forum for QC advise, jf v2 that still had the incorrect font space, maybe not all TD have it?

Please note : The JF V2 Explorer 1 has now joined the consensual ' SUPER REP ' list , as I said the dial problems have been fixed .

Be nice if JF would fix the numeral 3, it's an easy tell for those who care

Aaaaaannnnndddd, it was just knocked back down to first class due to the numerals, upon further review LoL ????

Do we think the spacing was an easier tell than the numerals?

Neither were/are easy to tell . Let me guess you're going to buy a Submariner and colour in the bezel with a crayon ? Or a $60,000 AP rep and wear it with your McDonald's uniform ?

It's gorgeous but the "E" and the "R" definitely look spaced out compared to the rest of the letters. Wouldn't bother me one bit given the high praise you all have given the rest of the watch.

Question: what would you all do if the SH3132 clone movement failed? Can that only be replaced by another 3132 (gen or asian)? Are there any other movements that could be swapped in (like a 28xx movement)? Is it possible to buy a complete SH3132 or parts for one?

Gotta love how it's an "easy tell" when ONLY we on the rep forums know about the blatant easy tells.

Apparently they have fixed the spacing issue so all fine go ahead and buy the watch. If you are so concerned about perfection then you should be more bothered by the movement. Winding it just a single time is the biggest tell there is.

You can choose to have the movement serviced right out of the gate, or wait until it gives trouble. Replacement parts are available as SH or Rolex parts

LoL wow buddy....no the implication was to the previous poster who mentioned the numerals that the font was the biggest fix over the less noticeable numeral.

It has been consistently said that the font was the only tell preventing SuperRep status, and now it appears the numeral also does.

I'd get the jf either way but glad they fixed the font and not waiting on the numeral.

Bear in mind I'm the poster who brought the font fix to the attention of the Consenual list, quoting all the various threads mentioning it, even your own post about not being arsed.

And no I'm not getting a Sub to wear at my job at McDonald's, I'm getting a Patel Nautilus to wear at my job washing dishes and bussing tables at Applebee's, thank you very much! ????????????

That's because the watch in the picture posted by rrr27 has the font fault. However that picture is magnified , in reality the font is tiny and the spacing is not noticeable with the naked eye .
