Very enjoyable thread, thank you FiliGelli It has happened before in other fields, like the classic auto industry. In the 80s the replica cars were really crap, and now it has reached such a level where not only parts are interchangeable with originals, but in some cases are way better quality and fit.

Infortunatelly the picture is on my mobile very tiny...
But I would say:
116610LV = GEN or alternative a Superfranken with a good bezel insert or Gen insert.
116710BLNR “Batman“ = GEN
16610LN = TC maybe with GEN insert

EDIT::.. for 116610LV “Hulk“ the SEL looks not so accurate, so I would say Franken.

SEL looks ok (gens have gaps too) but the insert looks to pale in my eyes not sure about the 16610LN looks to good to be a rep but i am not an expert on the old subs (because i dont like them very much )

I have said it before. Gen forum people wouldn't know a rep if it hit them in the eye. Rep forum people will call a gen out as a Rep. Great post OP.

It is because we own the paranoia.

I have been buying Gen Rolexs for many years their QC has always been questionable.
