Looks like these shops open and close frequently, especially the ones mentioning the brands by name. My original seller only set up in June and was gone before I even received the watch. Which of course caused some concern. But watch arrived safely and seems like a good watch. Still keeping good time so far.
I think I may be safer to go for sellers who have a large history and high feedback score. Ali seems to award it's top sellers with diamonds. You will see a diamond logo with sellers with over 500 sales.
However it looks like these sellers mention no brand names. So you have to go searching for what you want and do a little figuring out. They will only show you the branding with the qc shots.

seller refunded without problem. But was waste of time, and disappointement...
I found a seller who has great choices and 2 stores (well, 2 as of today ; maybe she runs more to be sure not to be shut down)
i bought 4 watches from her (and 1 more is on the way !)

and you can ask her for more pics/info/details and if the watch is available before placing order (and money).

Holy crap this is am amazing web album the seller has including stuff I didn't even know was repped like burberry watches?! This is what our TD's need big time!

I have a question I need urgent help with.
I received a watch broken on arrival and would like to send it back to China for a full refund.
Does anyone know if the buyer is protected if I make the return, provide a tracking number, but it gets seized at customs?

No the buyer is responsible. The seller is responsible to get you your package but when you ship it you are the one who's responsible.
If you haven't ready accepted delivery in aliexpress you can try to dispute claiming the watch was broken on arrival and you might get a partial refund or assurance from seller.

Remember : never send back a REP item to China as it's illegal ; couterfeit items will be destroyed and no insurance will cover it (because it's illegal)
Anyway : for yr purchase, if the buyer protection time is not closed (check yr order details on AE) open a Dispute and try to find arrangement with the seller (part/total refund). But that's not easy and you'll have to take pics of the watch to show up what's broken. If the Dispute doesn't come to arrangement with the seller, yu can try to "Escalate" it : the AE's team will check out all details/claims/pics and made an offer.
All that process can be a long way/time/patience.....
And be carefull not to wait too much because the buyer protection time is running.

So, after a few buys some good, some terrible, (even though believe it or not, I bought a "submariner" style watch for 25 bucks back when this thread started, it's the only one still working on the original movement. And , I didn't think it with the Rolex dial, this was a tear down watch to expirment on, it still works. Many times it has been apart, and just played with. I love when people come over and see my watch station and see torn apart watches... Usually I'll get "you tore apart a Rolex!?" I'll then tell them to pick it up and tell me what they think lol my list from AE includes:
HBB rose gold, Quartz that sees no wrist time, but it's a blast to have in the box. Paid $95. Same one you can get from the TDs as this was a TD on the other forum who has closed there AE shop for good.
HBB black and silver. Supposed to be all black, but, that didn't happen. Even got the pics of the all black version. Disputed and won. Doesn't work. Paid 100.. Got 100% back. Felt terrible, but the seller thought they could take me.
The terrible Folex.. Even asked if it had the brand name, they said no. So I was like sweet! $25
Omega Seamaster as I was the genuine pig for some of us awhile ago.. Paid $65? Terrible.
My last, was a 116622 Yachtmaster. I wasn't going to buy it, however the seller told me they would give me the "better" version for the same price as a lower version. He even took pictures of multiple watches with numbers and asked me to pick out a number of the one I wanted. I got the one I picked. It does after a week, seller mailed me a new movement DHL. I was kind enough to mail it back, as I bought a DG2813 instead, installed it in, and it's been running great (after my second movement, first one Ofrei sent me didn't work, go figure..). I ordered new hands, and will be getting a new bezel insert.
I was going to get a PAM, was on the hunt then thought about it. Why? So I went to a TD.. Found what I wanted, and then BAM! Came up in M2M.. I have had my share of fun and disappointment from AE.. But if I need something I will be going to the gentlemen I dealt with for my yacht. But, everyone's been shut down. So as of now, no way to contact anyone so links are pointless.

Just had some leather iPhone covers delivered, took a while to arrive but very impressed with the quality gonna order a few more. Bargain for £2.34 a piece!
