Hi, my lovely friends
We got more requests about waterproofing recently, and some of us are not so clear about our process.
Here are some pipctures took by our partner workshop.

Do all of your watches get this or do you have to special order it?

Is it only needed for the GMT Master II? Or also for other models? How much is the cost and time it takes?

I am assuming you pressure test it to ?? ft?
also cost please? this could be a great option ... I have actually received super high end REPS and the backs were not even screen on tight.. I check on my incoming reps for this... Really pissed me off on a 600+ watch to have the back loose

I wrote about it in my post - I think they charged $45 for the service took about 10 days.

IMHO at least 5bar would be good. 10 may be feasible but already asking a lot. Anything beyond I'd buy a gen.

Yes. My understanding was that 3 bar is only rainproof. I would love to know if Ctime test all their watches to 5 or 10 bar. please @CTime :)

Am I misunderstanding ?
When people pay extra money for water resistance tests please @CTime , are you saying you only test it to 2 BAR please?

My reason for asking is that testing to a low 2 bar extremely low and pointless in my mind. So low it doesn't even let the owner know if the watch is rainproof. So am I misunderstanding please. I must be wrong. What is the point in paying to test to 2bar please? Truly want to learn and understand. :) Thanks for any help.

I wish I knew this before paying $48 + paypal fees and waiting an extra 2-3 weeks.
Looks like 2 bar is only 29.02 PSI. Not even really suitable for showering or rain. I guess I got duped.

That's why we suggest that people read and use the information shared on the forum. Unfortunately many do not.
To be fair there is A LOT of posts to weed through. Lesson learned. No knock on Ctime, they've been great to me so far. I'm excited to see the watch but now I know the mod is a waste of money for not much peace of mind. hoping I dont have the same bezel issue (falling off) as I've see many others post about.

Sorry if we didn't make it clear before, again, please don't take your rep anywhere near water, they were not designed to go through that🥺 With the upgrade, it can at least survive hand washing and so...
