We will agree to disagree on that then bud.

Maybe your case and parts are not machined well then but the retainer has to go flush to the rehaut base to even be correctly sealed and waterproofed.

I've built and modded around 20 of these and owned gen subc' also so I think I have a bit of knowledge here!

Is that the gasket that came with the xtal or did you order a different one? Mine came in a blister pack with 2 gaskets

I always use a 2.3 gasket from my supplier and never the bubble pack ones. They are sometimes a little too thick for the rep tolerances.
