That is a MASSIVE difference. Interesting that the older caseback fits fine as well. Someone screwed up massively. Biggest issue I think with these manufacturers is specs get lost along the way and I'm sure they have other companies or factories build the cases for them. Maybe they purchased or contracted the case from another factory? Something happened.

I tried to put on the safari caseback on the rubberclad and it works fin. And by doing that i came down to 15,4mm thick rubberclad. So i dont understand why they are doing the caseback so thick..

Mine got down to 14.8mm, I think gen is 15mm on bee

I heard it takes ages if you do this work by hand - also inaccurate.

Domi uses this machine here, took him about 5 min for the tachy shave and caseback :

Heres the result on bee, basically fresh out of plastic surgery - Shaved tachy, shaved caseback, new DW & cyclop :

Pretty interesting, gonna find someone locally that own such machine for my 15400.
Any idea how this machine is called?

It’s quite disappointing that JF can improve on other aspects of the AP ROOs, only for them to go back one step backwards on the the thickness...

Such a shame...

As long as people keep buying them like this they'll keep making them. For me I wouldn't buy any of the roo they make as the tach is always touching the cyclops.

a big ROO fan like me also came to same conlusion. I'd buy a 44mm FC or ceramic if it was at least 1mm thinner; the last ones are thicker than a kardashian butt
