I was about to place an order with AP Bands...but after reading about Adam, I am now on the look out for a perfect strap. I will send Daniel a picture of the AP Bands that I had to trade because it was too big.
I have to admit that this panda is soooo beautiful. But everytime I see my other babies, they are all also beautiful!!
I actually have always loved AP's(back when I only bought gens), but they were so expensive. I really love the fact that now, I can enjoy all the different designs and characteristics at a fraction of the price.
I love reps!
I just reconnected with a friend/business contact last week. We hadn't seen each other for about 2 years. I wore my Helson on a vintage strap.
We were both in the "Fake watches are for fake people" mindset before, when we were still doing business about 2 years ago. After our long meeting, he was having a cigar. and I told him that I have secret for him...if he promised not to laugh.
When I told him my secret...he couldn't believe it. But when I explained how nice they were and that many times I couldn't tell the difference, he was in shock.
Before dinner, I rushed home and picked up some watches. Specially, the "Fiddy". He said it is his grail watch. When I told him that my modded rep just arrived the day before, he freaked out! Specially when I showed him the watches!
He took off his Rolex and wore the 1950 over the whole dinner. He couldn't stop looking at it and he absolutely loved the Gunny strap. Of course, I had the AP ROO's. He freaked out!!
He said the only one he could tell was a rep was BMW's favorite Volcano...but only because he has the gen. He said that the orange on the dial was a tinge too light. We are meeting again at the end of the month and he will bring his Volcano...and his other gens.
It was fun!
