What are your thoughts on dealers who Photoshop QC photos?

Wow, this kinda sucks. . . Makes me feel even if they are a "trusted dealer" that they are still trying to pull a fast on on me. . . Watcheden is currently on my shitlist. . .
Lets just hope that they clean up their act like they have promised!
Even though I'm very disapointed with WE I believe everyone deserves a 2nd chance if they admit where they went wrong and clean up their act!!
Here's the thing- out of the many many watches they sell, who knows how many QC photos sent out, these are only two that we are aware of in a short amount of time. Based on that, it seems to me that this is SOP. Once this behavior is the status quo, I find it difficult to believe that more creative and less obvious forms of deceit won't be used that does "follow the rules."
All the sudden the used car salesman who stuffs sawdust into the transmission to keep it quite is going to become the role model for all other dealers? Good luck with that...

Rolly Olly-- your watch was clearly PS'd. Do this for me. Send WE a PM letting him know that you asked for QC pics for a watch, and they were photoshopped. If the watch has not yet shipped, ask for new, untouched QC pics of the actual watch. If the watch has already shipped, tell him that you'll wait to see what it looks like, and if there is so much as a single scratch, you're going to send it back to him, and he's going to pay for return shipping as well as a full refund. Tell him that you've discussed this with seanf.
Totally agree with everyone that they shouldn't be doing what they have been but c'mon these guys are selling replica watches. Can you ever trust them completely? Don't most all of the watches come from the same factories anyway? These guys are way better than the scam sites and have been told not to do it going forward. I'm not familiar with WE's particular customer service policy but most of our trusted dealers have some level of service after the sale. I am glad they haven't been banned, more competition is good for all of us. Frustarting = YES, Worthy of Ban = No Way!

You really do have a good eye, I would have never picked that up. Rolly you'll post pics for us all to see once you take delivery?
I PM'd WE as you suggested seanf, and they replied that if the watch is not satisfactory once it arrives they will refund and cover the return postage.

Well the oysterdate I ordered from WE has just arrived. I have examined it closely and can honestly say that watch itself is awesome!! There are no marks, scratches etc to be seen anywhere on the watch. So it's obvious that they were only photoshopping the dust out. Still I'm not condoning Photoshoping QC pics. They should either clean the watch first or just leave it for us to decide whether it is dust or not.

Apart from being really slow to send QC pics and post (about 15 days in total) all has turned out very well. They respond promptly to PM's and emails and are always very polite.
Oh, and the watch took just 4 days to arrive once posted!!
I would definately recommend this watch to anyone as it is very close to the gen, and will look awesome once vintageized and put on a leather strap So is it the case with all of the dealers that they'll send QC pics if requested? I assumed that certain dealers (e.g. replicamake) did it as a matter of course, and others are basically drop-shippers (e.g. Timesshop).
As far as I know most dealers will supply QC pics if requested, but not all. I don't know which dealers do or don't however.
T4D holds stuff on stock but refuses to provide QC pics. Puretime supposedly now do QC on all orders, Lay still has by far the best QC in my eyes.
