Some more Irish stuff for you @asusundevils1971 that is not U2. The scenery in the Little Green Cars vid is worth watching. It really catches the look of the west coast of Ireland.
Shane McGowan to me is one of the greatest poets that ever existed. He was familiar with and understood all of Joyce's work by the age of eight and you can hear the influences particularly in that song and Rainy night in Soho. As Joyce's father said of his son James “If that fellow was dropped in the middle of the Sahara, he’d sit, be God, and make a map of it”. Shane McGowan truly captures what he has seen. I could go on and on. I can only hope he will be recognised in the future by those outside the art world.Since this is a favorite this time of the year. It should be enjoyed all year though.
